THIS IS THE OPPOSITE OF MY IDEA

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I have a "better", and better paid, job. What I don't have is an interesting job.

ailsa (ailsa), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:36 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm clever now; maybe I can get a job.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:38 (twenty-two years ago)

Stop talking and just do it.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:41 (twenty-two years ago)

Mime artiste, or something.

N. (nickdastoor), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:42 (twenty-two years ago)

clown.

cozen (Cozen), Saturday, 19 June 2004 12:43 (twenty-two years ago)

Do you mean Vivien Goldman?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:50 (twenty-two years ago)

vivienne goldman.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:51 (twenty-two years ago)

I think that is a misspelling.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:53 (twenty-two years ago)

it matters.

have you heard that song?

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:55 (twenty-two years ago)

No. I don't know much about her. Why?

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 20 June 2004 12:57 (twenty-two years ago)

Chris - yes. August Bank Holiday will be a lot of fun. I'll probably be working, but hey.

N. (nickdastoor), Sunday, 20 June 2004 20:32 (twenty-two years ago)

I like your style.

cozen (Cozen), Sunday, 20 June 2004 21:00 (twenty-two years ago)

cathy, it is 1.39pm and you just walked past me on level 2 of the library, you looked a little glum, I should have said 'hi hi!' but in those situations I normally whistle, which is rude, but in the library 'rude' becomes 'inappropriate' and 'annoying', I should have said 'hi hi!'.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 21 June 2004 11:43 (twenty-two years ago)

also: graeme (?) dott, the snooker player, the world famous snooker player, is on the computer across and left from me.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 21 June 2004 11:46 (twenty-two years ago)

I say! Was Cathy eating?

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 21 June 2004 11:48 (twenty-two years ago)

it isn't graeme dott any more than I am graeme dott.

cathy wasn't eating, for God's sake, this is a library!

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 21 June 2004 11:49 (twenty-two years ago)

glasgow really is the best city.

I didn't like the title of the other thread much but this one is even worse!

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 21 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Err - the other way round. See how confusing!

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 21 June 2004 12:16 (twenty-two years ago)

Lauren - that's great. 3 weeks time I think I'll be back here.

N. (nickdastoor), Monday, 21 June 2004 15:08 (twenty-two years ago)

I hope I can be, in three weeks time.

cozen (Cozen), Monday, 21 June 2004 21:43 (twenty-two years ago)

i hope you can, too.

lauren (laurenp), Monday, 21 June 2004 22:44 (twenty-two years ago)

So, this was the idea, all along?

I want to try Glasgow, soon.

the bellefox, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:29 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't even know you went to Glasgow Uni, Cozen. I'm sort of glad you didn't whistle or say "hi hi!" because I was all grimy from my disgusting job, and I might have pretended not to hear and hidden behind a bookshelf. If I looked glum, it was probably the result of having just been cleaning toilets and getting covered in hoover bag dust and scraping mould out of the back of a cupboard and not getting to eat for four hours...

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:50 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't know you went to Glasgow Uni, either, Cathy, or Cozen, either.

the junefox, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

Me, Cozen, Adam Smith, James Herriot, Charles Kennedy, The Delgados...maybe RJG next year too, he says.

Cathy (Cathy), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:57 (twenty-two years ago)

and Vicky and Jonnie

chris (chris), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 10:59 (twenty-two years ago)

Oh, no -- not Dick!

the bellefox, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 11:08 (twenty-two years ago)

what uni did you think I went to?

snobzen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 12:22 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't know you went, to one.

the bellefox, Tuesday, 22 June 2004 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I just finished. there was a thread.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 12:25 (twenty-two years ago)

And me. I went to Glasgow Uni too. I think maybe at the same time as Vicky.

ailsa (ailsa), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 16:31 (twenty-two years ago)

fucking commas.

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 20:40 (twenty-two years ago)

I didn't. Fucking snobs. Glasgow is waiting, again, JB.

Ally C (Ally C), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 22:01 (twenty-two years ago)

can we play tennis at some time ally? maybe a weekend?

cozen (Cozen), Tuesday, 22 June 2004 22:02 (twenty-two years ago)

I'm glad that Glasgow is waiting. Really, I am.

the bluefox, Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:22 (twenty-two years ago)

Glasgow is raining.

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:24 (twenty-two years ago)

by god, glasgow is raining.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

I don't believe in rain.

RJG (RJG), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

Tall buildings
Reach up in vain.

Jerry the Nipper (Jerrynipper), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:25 (twenty-two years ago)

not that kind of rain.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:26 (twenty-two years ago)

I've been stuck in the library thinking about Usborne books for two hours, it's raining that much.

I thought you went to Strathclyde, Cozen. I don't know what gave me that idea.

Cathy (Cathy), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:27 (twenty-two years ago)

I am raining.

cozen (Cozen), Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:28 (twenty-two years ago)

Wow.

I wish I was in the Glasgow rain, not the London.

the bellefox, Wednesday, 23 June 2004 10:51 (twenty-two years ago)

three weeks pass...
5 wetherspoons, 5 drinks - 40.5 minutes

taxi allowance: 1

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 18 July 2004 12:56 (twenty-one years ago)

which wetherspoons?

Robbie Lumsden (Wallace Stevens HQ), Sunday, 18 July 2004 13:31 (twenty-one years ago)

all of them.

an untimed drink at george sq. -> jamaica st. -> argyle st. -> bothwell st. -> west george st. -> sauchiehall st.

RJG (RJG), Sunday, 18 July 2004 13:36 (twenty-one years ago)

you should've completed that with a wee trip down gt western rd and gone to the Esquires wetherspoon beside fifth avenue.

though i'm too scared to go in the that at night time. but then i'm generally scared.

Robbie Lumsden (Wallace Stevens HQ), Sunday, 18 July 2004 13:38 (twenty-one years ago)
