Thats probably the Encompass thingy - they're taking over Cargo, 93 Feet East, Vibe and a few other venues. Should be loadsa stuff happening, but as I said, I don't know what the deal will be with tickets for most of it.

Yup, just checked Ticketweb - they're flogging tickets for £10 now for it at Cargo. I'm guessing there's not going to be a huge amount of tickets if the Encompass people are all getting in free...

There's another multi venue 'thing' going on Easter weekend at various places around town (Koko, Old Blue (Vice Pub), Lock Tavern) with Hot Chip, Optimo, Park Attack, Whitey, Richard X, Paul Epworth (Phones), Druzzis Baltimore Rave Club, Our Disco, Eat Your Own Ears, Detournement & The Boutique. Their website (http://www.adventuresinthebeetrootfield.com/) doesn't seem to be up and running yet, but might be worth keeping an eye on.

Cut Copy - Xtra HOTT. My "hott date" - not so much. Steve, you didn't miss much re: Wolfmother. I eneded up telling Mari that Doors tributes had no place in 2005, based on the 3 songs we stayed for, though we both agreed they had obvious appeal for their homeland (and a dozen mentalists knowing the words to the songs last night underscored that). We also agreed that had Kate been there, she may very well have ended up ~~molesting~~objectifying them.

I can't make April 2nd as I will be at my cousin's wedding in a big house in the country, which is about as ungrimey as you can get.

I'm a little sceptical of this live band thing though. The band at Roots Manuva veered dangerously close to funk rock territory at times on Friday and I imagine this being even less appropriate for grime. Especially Lethal B.
