Tuomas, a 401K is a US retirement fund plan in which your income is deducted from your paycheck pre-tax, for long-term investment, and may be withdrawn (taxed) when you're old. Some employers match your contributions (mine doesn't, cheap bastard).

Thanks, in fact my hair was always short right up until my shave head/grow hair out stage in 1996. It usually looked good when it was short, but my hair is so curly that six weeks after getting a haircut, my hair would turn into a giant 'fro. I got tired of trying to manage the 'fro and/or go for haircuts all the time -- plus I was a swim instructor/lifeguard during those years and the chlorine was MURDER on my hair. So I finally said "fuck this" and shaved my head one night (admittedly, this involved alcohol and many drunken friends, but it *was* something I'd been considering for a long time).

They were in one of Mum and Dad's albums. I brought them back to Glasgow on the sly - don't tell! The note on the back says they were taken on 7th June 1977, hence the fancy dress.
