Lindsay Lohan booked on suspicion of DUI By CHRISTOPHER WEBER, Associated Press Writer

Lindsay Lohan was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence Saturday after her convertible struck a curb, and investigators found what they believe is cocaine at the scene, police said.

Lohan, 20, and two other people were in her 2005 Mercedes SL-65 when it crashed on Sunset Boulevard around 5:30 a.m., Sgt. Mike Foxen said. It appeared the actress was speeding, Lt. Mitch McCann said at an afternoon news conference.

Officers at the scene found a "usable amount" of a drug tentatively identified as cocaine, McCann said. He declined to say where the drug was found other than to say Lohan was not carrying it.

Lohan, who spent time at a rehabilitation center earlier this year, was driven in another car to a hospital for treatment of minor injuries, McCann said. The two other people in her car were not hurt.

Officers received a 911 call about the accident and arrested Lohan at the hospital for investigation of misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, McCann said.

She was released from custody because she was admitted to the hospital, police said.

McCann declined to comment on Lohan's blood-alcohol level. He said the case will be presented to the District Attorney's Office where the actress could face more charges, including felonies. Her tentative arraignment date is Aug. 24.

lol when i came home last night and read this news, i was like upset in such a way that i shouldn't have been. bizarre. i mean really did she have to get caught? come on. 20 is so stupid that way.

The SL65 is such a hott car.

Maybe she will end up like Corey Haim selling her shit on ebay. Her career badly needs an injection of heroin a blockbuster.

And yeah, she's only 20 and we should give her a break, but I doubt the studio and police see it that way. It seems like both are on a mission to out all the cokey starlettes. See also Miss Barton.

The real problem for her is that no one will cast her because they're afraid she won't be able to finish a picture (i.e. if someone were to cast her it would be difficult to get the production bonded).

Well, she bailed out of a movie because they insisted she sign a paper promising she'd be on time and do some drug tests.

I love how this thread is like a documentation of the 5 stages of Lohan. It's kind of amazing that she still has a career now. One of the more interesting posts here from three years ago:

We watched "Freaky Friday" the other day, and Amber and Alice and I watched the 'extras', including Lindsay Lohan's video diary. Consisting of her doing her tutoring with a copy of "The Bell Jar" she was studying.

See, if our Amber had straight hair, she'd be a dead ringer for LL. So, she's quite taken with the idea of being a film star now. Not madly/obsessively, just that "oh, I could do that, couldn't I?" sort of way.

The first part of the VidDia had some guy with LL, saying "Hey, here's the world-famous Lindsay Lohan, back when she was only 15 years old!!!" and general laffing. Ah, the innocence of yout.
