"leon sees seinfeld for the first time" was the funniest moment of the season

la monte jung (cutty), Tuesday, 24 November 2009 19:18 (sixteen years ago)

The finale was the best season-end since the restaurant scene in S3 I thought, although it got ridiculously meta they totally pulled it off. I also loved that it looked like they were totally going to over-sugar the ending and then suddenly it was right back to the old days.

Space Battle Rothko (Matt DC), Wednesday, 25 November 2009 14:34 (sixteen years ago)

Also why is the phrase "Mocha Joe" so inherently funny?

Space Battle Rothko (Matt DC), Wednesday, 25 November 2009 14:35 (sixteen years ago)

Having never seen Curb before (tho some of my friends rave about it) I watched this season's because of the Seinfeld stuff, but ended up liking the parts without the Seinfeld characters more. The regular cast is really funny!

Adam Bruneau, Wednesday, 25 November 2009 14:59 (sixteen years ago)

you should watch it all, then. many spectacular comedic moments.

la monte jung (cutty), Wednesday, 25 November 2009 15:02 (sixteen years ago)

Awesome link, I had no idea that site existed.

That site has been a fucking saviour this year - 30 rock/bbt/cye/glee/office/p&r - in a year when brit comedy has been virtually non-existent.

sonderangerbot, Wednesday, 25 November 2009 23:19 (sixteen years ago)

sonderangerbot, Wednesday, 25 November 2009 23:28 (sixteen years ago)

la monte jung (cutty), Wednesday, 25 November 2009 23:48 (sixteen years ago)

Yes, don't be afraid it's not everyone's cup of tea.

Ned Trifle II, Wednesday, 25 November 2009 23:50 (sixteen years ago)

I liked Jerry Seinfeld in this so much more than in anything else I've seen him in

James Mitchell, Thursday, 26 November 2009 18:14 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, me too. I mean I liked Seinfeld a lot but have always thought Jerry Seinfeld comes off as obnoxious and annoying in interviews etc. but didn't feel that as much in this season at all.

Not forgetting that ad where he nibbles Bill Gates' churro.

James Mitchell, Thursday, 26 November 2009 18:41 (sixteen years ago)

Hahahaha yes.

Was watching a making of thing on On Demand last night and Funkhauser was talking about how he'd never told that joke on screen before and was nervous about doing so but was glad it worked so well. Personally I nearly died LOLing when he delivered the punchline.

bear say hi to me (ENBB), Thursday, 26 November 2009 18:51 (sixteen years ago)

funkhauser isn't his real name btw

James Mitchell, Thursday, 26 November 2009 19:14 (sixteen years ago)

Thanks for the tip Cutty. ;-)

bear say hi to me (ENBB), Thursday, 26 November 2009 19:39 (sixteen years ago)

I'm going to tell that joke at my next family gathering.

la monte jung (cutty), Thursday, 26 November 2009 21:46 (sixteen years ago)

i think the british must realize cunt is very different around here

la monte jung (cutty), Thursday, 26 November 2009 21:47 (sixteen years ago)

Calling someone a cunt during a card game will not make you a pariah across the Atlantic.

Of course I want frosting. I'm a Scorpio. (kenan), Thursday, 26 November 2009 21:50 (sixteen years ago)

why is her friend in the sink?

caek, Thursday, 26 November 2009 21:51 (sixteen years ago)

Funkhouser will always be Super Dave Osborne to me.

Mr. Que, Monday, 22 March 2010 18:07 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah it does. I think watching people sitting around talking about the "issues" presented in the show would completely kill my enjoyment.

that sounds absolutely atrocious

Tracer Hand, Monday, 22 March 2010 18:12 (sixteen years ago)

you might say it would "curb" your enthusiasm for the show

Mr. Que, Monday, 22 March 2010 18:12 (sixteen years ago)

how could they not have noticed this before selling it

Leon should just have his own show imho. dude murders every scene he's in

wasn't sure about how to feel about the Kramer/racism stuff but in general the Seinfeld reunion plotline was next-level

gordon lishification (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 12 July 2010 17:36 (fifteen years ago)

loved that ep

peacocks, Monday, 12 July 2010 19:01 (fifteen years ago)

I laughed when Leon showed up and Kramer did the "that was 3 years ago! I'm a different man now" but the resolution with him struggling to think of a horrible word he could call Leon... I dunno

gordon lishification (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 12 July 2010 19:04 (fifteen years ago)

Im watching this entire series, up to season 3 now. AMAZING. Wow, Larry gets into trouble with everyone in every episode. It's amazing he doesn't just snap and go postal on the world. It's like he's the eye of a hurricane, some kind of Zen master, who gets shit on constantly, yet perseveres.

It's a hilarious show, and in a way, inspiring.

Beach Pomade (Adam Bruneau), Monday, 12 July 2010 19:57 (fifteen years ago)

would not describe Larry as "zen" exactly

gordon lishification (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 12 July 2010 19:58 (fifteen years ago)

A Zen master that flips out and screams and curses alot.

Beach Pomade (Adam Bruneau), Monday, 12 July 2010 20:01 (fifteen years ago)

Just saying, if I had a day as half as bad as most of these episodes, I would probably end up in a police chase of some sort, or at the very least a mental hospital.
