I think Chris Muir has been taking our words to heart. Still insane, but at least 2/3 of the strip makes sense (Python movie????):

MAN that's classy.

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 18:52 (eighteen years ago)

MSM is 30 years old?

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 13 August 2007 18:52 (eighteen years ago)

I had to Google virtually everything about that Olbermann Merlot cartoon, and it still took some digging. Apparently he slept with someone and didn't call her back to her liking, so she started a blog about how lousy he is in bed? Is this the best attack people can come up with against the guy? Also, I have never heard of Mark Levin in my life, much less heard him described as "great." The whole thing is from some alternate universe.

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 18:56 (eighteen years ago)

Yeah, that's insane. I thought Mark Levin was the guy who made the doc about the Protocols of Zion, but his name is "Marc." According to wikipedia, Mark Levin was nicknamed "The Great One" by Sean Hannity, who I'm sure knows more about these things than we do.

mulla atari, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:23 (eighteen years ago)

why a giant glass of Merlot? it makes no sense.

gr8080, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:27 (eighteen years ago)

cant wait for tomorrow's strips full of silly libruls dancing with glee over the Rove resignation.

gr8080, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:28 (eighteen years ago)

apparently on the "Olbermann Is Bad In Bed" blog (whatever it's called) the woman alleges that he brought Merlot, and spilled some. So it's like... you know... a BURN.

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:29 (eighteen years ago)

also, are there really people out there calling him "Keith Overbite"? Because I was more clever than that in second grade.

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:31 (eighteen years ago)

olbermann : merlot :: o'reilly : loofah

elmo argonaut, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:32 (eighteen years ago)

or falafel, take your pick

elmo argonaut, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:33 (eighteen years ago)

otfm... "let's not attack anything about the person except some alleged sexual proclivity which really isn't all that weird" = lamest thing ever

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:36 (eighteen years ago)

especially when the basis of all this is some schoolyard revenge-blog bullshit that's a year old now!

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:51 (eighteen years ago)

Maybe the idea is that Olbermann isn't quite the loverman O'reilly is. Recall if you will this bit from the sexual harassment complaint:

"When Plaintiff responded that she'd never engaged in phone sex, Defendant Bill O'Reilly professed disbelief, and told her that the sexual stories he told were all based on his own experiences, such as when he received a massage in a cabana in Bali and the 'little short brown woman' asked to see his penis and was 'amazed.'"

Oh yes, please keep giving us excuses to quote this document.

mulla atari, Monday, 13 August 2007 19:52 (eighteen years ago)

I cannot hear the word "loofah" without thinking of Bill O'Reilly

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 13 August 2007 20:03 (eighteen years ago)

Really? I have a loofah myself. It makes me think about scrubbing the bottoms of my feet.

kenan, Monday, 13 August 2007 20:04 (eighteen years ago)

it makes me think of 'bad santa'

At one point he forgets the word "loofah" and calls it a "falafel."

mulla atari, Monday, 13 August 2007 20:13 (eighteen years ago)

I cannot hear the word "falafel" without thinking of Janeane Garafalao

Shakey Mo Collier, Monday, 13 August 2007 20:14 (eighteen years ago)

"None of your business" Osama potentially an even better all-purpose punchline than "Thumbs-Up" Osama. I like that he traced the same drawing, too.

Doctor Casino, Monday, 13 August 2007 21:38 (eighteen years ago)

That NOYB Osama seems to be practicing Jedi Mind Tricks on Obama & Hillary. He's somewhat similar in garb to Obi Wan, so perhaps he'll fight that Darth Cheney from last week.

mulla atari, Monday, 13 August 2007 21:58 (eighteen years ago)

I'm just waiting for that cartoonist to draw Osama with his arm draped over Obama's shoulder, pointing at him as Steven Colbert does to his black employee.
