There was a while where I saw a bunch of bizarro Nabisco's in various neighborhoods around town. But I probably should post that on this thread instead.

It may be due to differing schedules, but I'm surprised I don't see Steve Shasta more often.

While I was eating my lunch I saw Alex in NYC walking down Thompson Street. I knocked on the window of Snack but I think I scared him. Maybe he thought I was one of the many enemies he has no doubt accumulated in his lifetime.

seriously though, nice haircut, pleasant plains! they do good work in the tower building.

andrew m., Friday, 24 October 2008 19:29 (seventeen years ago)

wait, john has a BUS? not indie.

ian, Saturday, 25 October 2008 21:59 (seventeen years ago)

indie dude who stayed at our house last weekend had a bus. but it was some weird vintage-looking short bus that he had set up like a house (i had a hard time not thinking of into the wild even though his setup was way better).

highly theoretical, of course. (tehresa), Saturday, 25 October 2008 23:17 (seventeen years ago)

Ohmigod, have they finally become talkingheads on "I Love 198X..." or whatever?

Carrot Kate (Masonic Boom), Wednesday, 19 November 2008 14:37 (seventeen years ago)

It was a programme about beer presented by Neil Morrissey. I was thinking about going along but had a hangover :(

Here's a good one... I went to a friend's apartment over the weekend in Brooklyn. The friend had just moved in, and when I went to the buzzer I noticed that it still had the old tenant's name. Which was Dan S3lzer. So I guess Dan moved out, huh?

As Joel said. I moved to a much larger 2 bedroom apartment for about $400 less then your friend is paying, and I don't live in between two housing projects anymore, but across the street from a park. Hooray Queens!

a few weeks ago my internship almost involved mailing d4n s3lzer a package-- unfortunately our supply of music was running low and it was decided that carlos d (!) was a more deserving dj than mr slzr. so sorry dan! (and of course i mail galkin shit practically every other day)

Carlos D is generally a more deserving person then I am.

dan selzer, Thursday, 22 January 2009 19:33 (seventeen years ago)

i find that hard to believe, aside from your misuse of the word "then".

tehresa, Thursday, 22 January 2009 21:20 (seventeen years ago)

Was that my imagination, or was that a giant pic of The Lex in yesterday's London Paper? Illustrating an article about dance crazes?

The Boring Machine (Masonic Boom), Saturday, 31 January 2009 21:57 (seventeen years ago)

ha, not your imagination at all! it was taken at night slugs (one of the nights in the article) about 6 months ago. i had no idea until i got like 5 simultaneous texts at 5.45 yesterday

lex pretend, Saturday, 31 January 2009 22:07 (seventeen years ago)

Ha ha, I was just leafing through it on the way to my gig and was all BOING! hang on, that's The Lex. Saved a copy to show Hels and she was all "Huh?" until I told her "yes, you've met him - imagine that, but with a feather boa dancing onstage at a Shimuras gig" and she was all OH YEAH RIGHT, IT IS HIM!

Well done!

The Boring Machine (Masonic Boom), Sunday, 1 February 2009 08:14 (seventeen years ago)

How did I miss Pete and Carsmile on the telly? I was in a bookshop buying a birthday present yesterday and looked at a book about beer which involved Neil Morrissey in some capacity, is that related to the TV show above? Should I have paid more attention, are they in that too?

Ronan yesterday in the Bricklayers Arms in Shoreditch yesterday. Felt rather strange approaching someone and saying "uh, don't I know you from the internets?", but very glad I did.

Hope I didn't offend when I overreacted by shouting at that woman who was probably being perfectly reasonable by telling me off for abandoning my friend at the opposite table.
