good to see spaceman again

max, Friday, 20 November 2009 13:57 (sixteen years ago)

Is "Green Week" an actual thing at NBC that they're trying to promote? The cold open of The Office had to do with a character Dwight invented for Earth Day, which struck me as weird, since Earth Day is five months away.

Nuyorican oatmeal (jaymc), Friday, 20 November 2009 14:42 (sixteen years ago)

pretty sure it's an actual thing, i remember the greenzo/first al gore episode was tied into some week-long promotion

"community" also had a "green" plotline last night, though parks & rec did not, oddly

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 20 November 2009 14:44 (sixteen years ago)

um, hello, 85% of the episode took place outside, which is uh, green, hellloooooo? also the show is called parks (which are green) and recreation.

jazzgasms (Mr. Que), Friday, 20 November 2009 14:45 (sixteen years ago)

but they also shot a bunch of birds

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 20 November 2009 14:45 (sixteen years ago)

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 20 November 2009 15:35 (sixteen years ago)

overall not the greatest episode though
all the green week stuff was tedious

dmr, Friday, 20 November 2009 15:44 (sixteen years ago)

not the greatest but i still laughed at lots of stuff, esp. tracy reacting to the laugh track in his hallucination: "don't patronize me! why are you laughing? that wasn't funny!"

congratulations (n/a), Friday, 20 November 2009 15:48 (sixteen years ago)

Spaceman was great. but Tracy was golden

dmr, Friday, 20 November 2009 19:15 (sixteen years ago)

I did like how Rip Torn's son played Geiss' son

her blurting out un-PC things or accidntally revealing hidden prejudices is like one of that character's primary defining characteristics after wearing glasses and liking sandwiches

dan me, perryhole (some dude), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:52 (sixteen years ago)

well, yeah, just funny how blatant that one was

The Geiss headlines were my favorite part.

was trying to remember what made me lol so hard and it was teddy ruxpin

ice cr?m, Saturday, 21 November 2009 07:17 (sixteen years ago)

I'm surprised so many thought this one was weak-- I liked it alot. Also Gore's recycled joke was tops.

WARS OF ARMAGEDDON (Karaoke Version) (Sparkle Motion), Saturday, 21 November 2009 07:18 (sixteen years ago)

gore was noticeably better than last time he was on - guy was totally thinking, practicing

ice cr?m, Saturday, 21 November 2009 07:20 (sixteen years ago)

teddy ruxpin killed me.

Al Gore was actually pretty good. He very nearly made me laugh.

Wonder if they're going to introduce a "Lemon and Donaghy attempt to have a baby together" plotline.

James Mitchell, Sunday, 22 November 2009 11:26 (sixteen years ago)

i like the lack of plotline this time around. the new cast member is integrated and comically bountiful, whereas liz adopting a kid felt kinda tacked on and awkward.

also liz throwing her bag into the ceiling was the funniest.

rap band (schlump), Sunday, 22 November 2009 15:52 (sixteen years ago)

whereas liz adopting a kid felt kinda tacked on and awkward.

as did the whole Milton Green storyline which they conveniently forgot about.

Pedro Paramore (jim), Sunday, 22 November 2009 16:44 (sixteen years ago)

Just noticed that when Jack is talking to THE PROBLEM SOLVERS and Jenna says "Are you as turned on as I am?", Tracy is nodding his head. :)
