1. regular craters
2. "poop" craters

Actually it probably isn't astronaut pee. I remember watching a schools TV programme in 1989*, and one of the kids in the audience asked Buzz how they pee'd. And Aldrin's reply was "we used to use something that looked like a condom". So unless LCROSS hit one of this dead on, it's probably not that.

"Water on the Moon"
One of the primary conclusions of the Apollo program was that the Moon
is “bone dry”. This result was re-enforced by subsequent analyses that
supported the formation of the Moon by the impact of a Mars-sized
protoplanet into the Earth not long after the solar system formed.
Subsequent spacecraft observations, however, raised the possibility
that some water might be preserved in craters that rarely or never see
the sun near the Moon’s poles. Recently, new observations from a NASA
orbiter and impactor showed that hydrogen, possibly in the form of
water ice, exists there and elsewhere. This presentation will
reconstruct the evolution of our understanding of lunar water, and explain the
significance of the findings.

Pictured above from LRO, areas in false-color blue indicate the presence of soil relatively rich in hydrogen, which is thought likely bound to sub-surface water ice. Conversely, the red areas are likely dry. The location of the Moon's South Pole is also digitally marked on the image. How deep beneath the surface the ice crystals permeate is still unknown, as well as how difficult it would be to mine the crystals and purify them into drinking water.
