Annie's transformation from cute to megahot this last episode was good stuff.

Trudy Campbell vs. Annie
― Johnny Fever, Saturday, 14 November 2009 03:40 (sixteen years ago)
Don't watch Mad Men but I've assumed Trudy Campbell is 1950s adult Annie.
― Cunga, Saturday, 14 November 2009 07:09 (sixteen years ago)
not in the slightest. wonderful actress.
― cutty, Saturday, 14 November 2009 12:54 (sixteen years ago)
What are everybody's favorite lines so far? I could think of:
"You're an eight, and that's a British ten."
"Kick that for me."
"Wassup, Urkel?"
"I'm don't talk to people who emerge from bushes.""cause I'm right, that's why""No, because I'm in not a commercial for kids cereal."
― Cunga, Sunday, 15 November 2009 01:19 (sixteen years ago)
the one about John Lennon killed me
no pun intended btw
― musically, Sunday, 15 November 2009 01:47 (sixteen years ago)
Forgot about that one. Just as funny as the others.

slightly nsfw. and slightly creepy
― Nhex, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:13 (sixteen years ago)
Speaking of slightly creepy, I thought Jeff and Annie had a lot more chemistry together than Jeff and Britta.
― รด_o (Nicole), Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:21 (sixteen years ago)
oh yeah that's totally true. fortunately irl she's not nearly that young
― Nhex, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:41 (sixteen years ago)

― Johnny Fever, Tuesday, 17 November 2009 03:51 (sixteen years ago)

re: that youtube
How laws are passed, sausage gets made and, new to the crew, what Hollywood actresses did before their big break. The big three, now.

Shows are in rerun this week, right?
― Cunga, Thursday, 19 November 2009 05:49 (sixteen years ago)
new eps of all the nbc shows this week. that makes ten straight weeks (minus 30 rocks late start) which means we're nearly halfway through the season already o_O
― love this mumbo (Clay), Thursday, 19 November 2009 06:07 (sixteen years ago)
nah, son, it's still sweeps month (xpost)
― some dude, Thursday, 19 November 2009 06:08 (sixteen years ago)
I love 30 Rock, but so far this show has been funnier this season. Ken Jeong is awesome.
― the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 20 November 2009 21:51 (sixteen years ago)
the episode last night was so fucking bizarre but it WORKS.
i'm sure the AN AMERICAN TAIL joke was lost on all but a few?
― la monte jung (cutty), Friday, 20 November 2009 21:56 (sixteen years ago)
Somewhere... out there...
― Mordy, Friday, 20 November 2009 21:57 (sixteen years ago)
you think? I can't imagine there were that many people sitting at home going "Fievel? I don't get it. what's that song they're singing?" xpost
― dan me, perryhole (some dude), Friday, 20 November 2009 21:58 (sixteen years ago)
really who has seen an american tail besides those born between 1976-1982?
― la monte jung (cutty), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:00 (sixteen years ago)
and remembers the songs?
― la monte jung (cutty), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:01 (sixteen years ago)
it's not like "a whole new world"
I would have been more impressed if it had been "Dreams to Dream" from Fievel Goes West (which I had to sing in 8th grade choir).
― windy = white, carl = black (polyphonic), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:01 (sixteen years ago)
yeah, cutty is right. last night's wasn't side-splittingly hilarious, but it had all these bizarre subplots that dovetailed perfectly in the final song.
― the girl from spirea x (f. hazel), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:02 (sixteen years ago)
fyi "Somewhere Out There" got to #2 on the Hot 100 and An American Tail was the highest grossing G rated film of 1986.
― dan me, perryhole (some dude), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:06 (sixteen years ago)
the song won a grammy cutty,
A GRAMMY!!!!!!
― jazzgasms (Mr. Que), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:07 (sixteen years ago)
I was born in 1984 and grew up on Feivel. This may, however, have something to do with the fact that the film was practically a family memoir.
― Mordy, Friday, 20 November 2009 22:08 (sixteen years ago)
Even if you don't know the song, Troy singing it is pretty funny.
― windy = white, carl = black (polyphonic), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:10 (sixteen years ago)
troys the best
― super sexy psycho fantasy world (uh oh I'm having a fantasy), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:11 (sixteen years ago)
Yeah, I thought the perfect capstone wasn't just that Troy was singing, but that he & Abed sang it in harmony.
― kingfish, Friday, 20 November 2009 22:23 (sixteen years ago)
hah i got the american tail before he even said feivel!
― tehresa, Friday, 20 November 2009 22:32 (sixteen years ago)
only 100 people saw "an american tail," but every single one of them went out and made a condescending post on an internet message board
― congratulations (n/a), Friday, 20 November 2009 22:55 (sixteen years ago)
my mind is blown that that song won a grammy
― la monte jung (cutty), Saturday, 21 November 2009 01:41 (sixteen years ago)
oh come on, that song was so classic. i remember hearing it alllll the time as a kid!
― tehresa, Saturday, 21 November 2009 02:27 (sixteen years ago)
Man, between "An American Tail" and "Overboard" a couple weeks ago, this show is hitting all my nostalgia buttons.

Hey guys, my friend wrote last night's episode. I'm so proud :-)
― Jouster, Saturday, 21 November 2009 05:20 (sixteen years ago)
haha this is probably true. oh those don bluth movies
― Nhex, Saturday, 21 November 2009 06:49 (sixteen years ago)
naw recall my cousin born in 86 being deeply into american tale - its a minor classic
― ice cr?m, Saturday, 21 November 2009 06:55 (sixteen years ago)
i was born in 85 and i was really into fievel goes west--an american tale not as much
― max, Saturday, 21 November 2009 10:56 (sixteen years ago)
Dudes, when you drop the 'An', American Tail sounds like a whoooooooole other kinda movie.
― I HEART CREEPY MENS (Deric W. Haircare), Saturday, 21 November 2009 11:08 (sixteen years ago)
jouster, your friend has problems! the whole climax/denouement was so fricken out there. the brownie speech? loooooool
― la monte jung (cutty), Saturday, 21 November 2009 13:01 (sixteen years ago)
yeah the climax was out there. . . somewhere
― jazzgasms (Mr. Que), Saturday, 21 November 2009 14:43 (sixteen years ago)
That climax was so funny. Cutting between all the characters and having them harmonize that song was the funniest/craziest thing I've seen from NBC Thursdays this year, prob.
― Cunga, Saturday, 21 November 2009 15:58 (sixteen years ago)
Agreed on the climax, and while it was still pretty feel-good and look at everyone coming together and achieving their goals, it did it in a way that wasn't the aspirational preachiness of most of the episodes so far.
