Convulsing with laughter, people. Convulsing with laughter.(Though I am highly interested in this British treatment. Ha. So BBC America better pick it up if they know what's good for them. *snort*)

It's no more stereotypical than Trinny and Susannah are. Which is to say it IS, but screeching TV bitchy media fashion harpies are the same whether they are boys or girls. And rah rah for them in this context of fab telly, so WTF, who cares.

IT'S ALIVE!!
Straw poll, which episode DIDN'T make you cry all your human tears. How many of Karamo's bomber jackets do you wish you had (answer: all of them)Why is Antoni so pretty. And other important matters.

I read that the standup comedian shut-in guy took down his website because he 'wasn't ready for all that' and Karamo was v heartbroken. That guy seemed more like he was perhaps on the spectrum? I dunno, I think Antoni was the only one of all of them who was like, 'um this isn't going to be as straightfoward as you think guys'

The firehouse trainer reminded me of Ron Swanson, especially the way he giggled his face off at pranking Tan with the pen

I like how hstencil said years ago what I was thinking, that they should've cast a bear on the show.
― Yerac, Wednesday, 28 February 2018 21:04 (eight years ago)
The bedsit comedian guy was my least favorite of everyone.

Jonathan is one of the greatest people that's ever been on TV. He's hysterical and shameless. I pretty much only persevered with latter seasons of GoT so I could watch his Gay of Thrones sketches.
― Heavy Messages (jed_), Wednesday, 28 February 2018 22:38 (eight years ago)
I've watched 7 season of RuPaul's Drag Race in the last 2 months so I am super glad they have a Jonathan on the show. His hair is so shiny.
― Yerac, Wednesday, 28 February 2018 22:52 (eight years ago)
Jonathan took me a bit to warm up to, that first episode YAAAASSS YAAAASSS YAAAASS YAAAAAS was like LaGanja all over again minus the bad attitude. But he’s such a sweetheart that it didnt take me long Karamo & the Superman firefighter in the final episode was everything, so funnyAnd oooh when the sweet gay guy walked out shirtless in his harness and they’re all O_O jaws on the floor and Antoni’s like “does anyone else need a drink?” hilarious

I would never get married... but I would totally marry Antoni at first sight.
― Heavy Messages (jed_), Thursday, 1 March 2018 02:40 (eight years ago)
I'd probably marry Karamo as well tbh.
Jonathan is genuinely interested in getting people to feel good about themselves, and not just the subject of the episode but the wives, the kids, the barflys, everyone.

The Trump voting cop and his friends... I was like, sooooo these guys pretty much would wear a diaper all day if they could.

I love how, if people are a bit taken aback by him, that just makes him double down with the Jonathan-ness, where someone else might soft-pedal it.
― trishyb, Thursday, 1 March 2018 21:29 (eight years ago)
I read that the standup comedian shut-in guy took down his website because he 'wasn't ready for all that' and Karamo was v heartbroken.
I am watching that episode now, and I'm finding it pretty difficult. He's so very closed in. And he and his brother really seem to hate each other.
― trishyb, Thursday, 1 March 2018 21:56 (eight years ago)
Yeah, the below average joe episode was confusing. Something weird was going on with him.
― Yerac, Thursday, 1 March 2018 22:00 (eight years ago)
My immediate feeling when they decided to move him to the basement was that the parents don't want him in the basement, because they reckon they will never get rid of him if he's not trapped in his childhood bedroom right next door to them.
In fairness though, I did get this theory from a storyline on Gilmore Girls, so it might not be correct.
― trishyb, Thursday, 1 March 2018 22:04 (eight years ago)
At the very beginning when they said he was a comedian and then they met him... I was like, duuuude...no. Someone needs to register him at a temp agency.
― Yerac, Thursday, 1 March 2018 22:09 (eight years ago)
yeah there were weird vibes between him & the brother.
