― Nhex, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:06 (sixteen years ago)
Haverchuck should have been nu-spock, not that eyebrow guy from heroes.
― Philip Nunez, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:06 (sixteen years ago)

― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:07 (sixteen years ago)

3. 30 Rock (45 votes, 1 first place vote, 8110 points.)http://img404.imageshack.us/img404/5421/medium30rock26382095rw3.jpghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ukjCcUFMbSE
― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:11 (sixteen years ago)
sorry samuel! it took a long time to come out because of the massive music licensing costs and troubles - i imagine doing it for region 2 as well would be a nightmare on top of it.
― Nhex, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:11 (sixteen years ago)
why are you apologising? did you sort the dvd yrself? if so, send me a copy, a free version will make up for it all.
― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:13 (sixteen years ago)

sympathies :(
― modescalator (blueski), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:14 (sixteen years ago)
First of all, I can not believe that mine was the only #1 vote for the UK Office. The show never fails to amaze me, no matter how many times I watch it. It's such subtle genius.
― I HEART CREEPY MENS (Deric W. Haircare), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:14 (sixteen years ago)
hey dude, glad you could make it in time. now if only darragh were here to be complaining like a motherfucker, it would all be complete.
― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:15 (sixteen years ago)
ok that sims clip is really impressive
― The Devil's Avocado (Gukbe), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:15 (sixteen years ago)
didn't think Milf Island would be top 2
― modescalator (blueski), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:15 (sixteen years ago)
so the wire and which other to finish?
i can't keep up with you lot, the last series i gave lotsa time to were e.r., west wing and the office. i don't know how you find the time to watch all the stuff i never heard of.
― do you want to be happier? (whatever), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:16 (sixteen years ago)

― modescalator (blueski), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:16 (sixteen years ago)
gonna wait till tomorrow to type up the full list, on account of not being fucked to do so tonight.
― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:16 (sixteen years ago)
xxpost With this crowd? I'm thinking Arrested Dev which sort of baffles me.
― bear say hi to me (ENBB), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:17 (sixteen years ago)
you should totally leave the last 2 for 12 hours
― modescalator (blueski), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:17 (sixteen years ago)
I love AD (despite not having watched an episode for years) and am sorta surprised it got this high. I guess I figured there was sorta some sorta backlash against it by now?
― iatee, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:17 (sixteen years ago)
I mean, I thought AD was pretty good but would never have put it at #1 personally.
― bear say hi to me (ENBB), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)
AD is too epic for backlash.
― The Devil's Avocado (Gukbe), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)
I guess it's backlash-backlash time already
― iatee, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)
You should do the last two right now as I have to leave for work in 12 minutes. </selfish>
― we are normal and we want our freedom (Abbott), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)
well there's been a michael cera backlash i guess but not enough to hurt little george michael
― sonderangerbot, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:18 (sixteen years ago)
I've only seen the first season of The Wire and just thought it was so so. But since everyone on ILX wets their pants over it, should I keep watching? Does it get better?
― Darin, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:19 (sixteen years ago)
It got better for me, Darin. I wasn't sold on the show after S1 but it is my #1 overall.
― Your heartbeat soun like sasquatch feet (polyphonic), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:19 (sixteen years ago)
going to sleep now, confession i bought 1st series of the wire about 2 yrs ago, have watched less than an episode, can't see me getting much further than the end of the box set in the next decade at that rate. guess i'm out of touch.
― do you want to be happier? (whatever), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:20 (sixteen years ago)
I think Season 3 and Season 4 are the best.
― sarahel, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:21 (sixteen years ago)
Second!: I always liked The Sopranos just fine. But it placed the lowest of the top 10 shows on my own poll. I always felt that it was just an eeeeeeeensy bit overrated. And then the last season started, and it was a magnificent start. And then Chase got his extra half a season and the quality dropped so drastically, so sharply, that I was relatively uncommitted by the time the considerably-improved final bit of the series wrapped up.
Third!!!!: Lost, as far as I'm concerned, isn't character driven at all. There are only a couple of characters I care a whit for and only a few relationships that involve me at all. The show is just a big plot-driven puzzle box, and when it's on I am glued to the screen. It's an event. And, yes, there was a pretty significant drop in quality in season 3, but the show has regained its bearing and has been soaring triumphantly through the cosmus ever since. It's the only current MUST-see (like, I can not wait at all) show on my ballot.
― I HEART CREEPY MENS (Deric W. Haircare), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:21 (sixteen years ago)
yeah watching just season 1 is equivalent to watching the pilot episode of some other show...not to say that it doesn't reflect the series, but it just goes so much further
― iatee, Friday, 6 November 2009 00:22 (sixteen years ago)
2. Arrested Development (41 votes, 5 first place votes, 8170 points.)http://images.fanpop.com/images/image_uploads/Arrested-Development-Poster-arrested-development-671766_375_500.jpghttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1oDY5w7P-GYhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyDjRd0Tjss
― Samuel (a hoy hoy), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:24 (sixteen years ago)
it took me 2 months to get thru that 30 Rock thread because i'd slept on it for so long (much like i did AD) so would read it up to when people started quoting the next one i had yet to see. thank fuck for bookmarks. it should've been prime time Friday night on Channel 4 but yes sometimes this country actually is deeply stupid.
xp dammit
― modescalator (blueski), Friday, 6 November 2009 00:25 (sixteen years ago)
Also, Lost is a really weird beast insofar as it's kinda crappy (plot threads that go nowhere, characters that you don't really care about and who do and say the stupidest things just to advance the plot in really contrived ways, etc.) at the same time that it's the most amazing and compelling thing ever. I can't think of much else like it in that regard.

The Wire is incredibly funny and you sir are tripping.
