seriously - i'd never even heard of Whale Wars before last night

stopped watching the latest episode after 5 minutes. their "topical" episodes are the worst and I don't really enjoy their asian racism schtick or their "liberals are asshats" schtick

seriously where is their balloon boy episode, that one just writes itself (Randy builds balloon, Butters sneaks into it, balloon flies away hilarity ensues)

I used to watch it with Amber back in the day. She was 8 months, and loved the kids antics, and didn't understand the sweary bits. And mum was on nightshift...

Anyways, the kids got older and I saw one ep that was damn brilliant (it involved bath-houses and cute kids that had their own TV shows, etc), and realised "we" couln't watch this anymore.

I kinda sensed it would be downhill after that one anyway.

not that i didn't agree with the target, but c'mon, Beck is so EZ. actually for SP this is kind of late to the game considering the other Beck parodies going around lately

Right around when I saw "Butters Bottom Bitch" I started getting the feeling that this current run of episodes was written and produced over the summer, instead of the "one episode produced per week" thing, which is why current events (ie balloon boy) haven't been lampooned, and why wider topics are being discussed instead.

I didn't expect last night's episode to be up and streaming already.. I guess they put them on the south park studios website on the following morning.

But yeah, how do they know Avatar is a ripoff of Dances With Wolves? It doesn't come out for another month.

I do like that they deliberately went with one of their weirder episodes. I get the feeling that they brought back officer barbrady & jimbo & ned just for the early-seasons vibe.

I hate Facebook probably more than most, but this was a little weak and incredibly late for them. the Chatroulette thing was kind of obvious too... and the Tron thing, Family Guy's 10-second bit on it was probably funnier.

this whole recent thing about the image of Muhammad got me thinking - if there's no images of him, no one knows what he really looked like, there's no conventional historical archetype of what Muhammad looked like. so, basically there's no way to tell what is or isn't an image of Muhammad unless it's explicitly captioned as such. So, if I draw a picture of a tomato and call it the Prophet Muhammad, is that a violation of the Koran?
