The problem is that we're still getting used to this new routine of not having band practice a couple times during the week. Also, I've had this dumb cold. So basically we've been homebodies all week.

If you guys want to meet up, name a time that's good -- I think the museum's free anytime after 5 and open 'til 8.

And why no band practice?

Ben is on a design project team. He had to apply to get in, and it lasts until next summer I believe. So, he's working full time and going to this other thing in the evenings during the week. Thus, he can't play shows or practice during the week any more.

This means we only practice on Sundays. Once a week is probably the norm for most bands but we're used to 2-3.

Oh, we do two three-hour practices, so I feel ya.

There's also an exhibition (closing this weekend) of communal poems from Japan, basically the kind of thing we all do in bars:

There was another recent thread all about ans and as (what is the best way to write that, by the way, "an"s and "a"s?) and aspirated hs, Charlie. Can't rememeber what it was called.

I think "an historical" etc is widely deprecated, yes, though it seems to be one of those hypercorrective things that people do to try to sound right. I can't believe you really want to write "an hotel". Why?
