Woah. Sometime this weekend, maybe Sunday night, I saw a few brass band guys standing under the El on Belmont across the street from the station, just talking and hanging out with their instruments. I almost snapped a photo to show you, but now I realize that might've been you.

not exactly a random sighting, but my first ever IRL encounter with another ilxor:

alex in SF and his new wife are in NZ for their honeymoon, and they came into my restaurant for dinner tonight. when alex posted a thread for itinerary ideas for their trip i told him to stop in if they had time and ask for me. it was a hectic night and i see this couple standing at the door; i go up and ask them if someone is looking after them and the guy says "is justine working tonight?". i respond with the obvious answer and he says "hi i'm alex from ilx!".

totally cool getting to meet them :)

there really is nothing PHATter than a heroically drunken barman, especially if a) he's in a chatty mood, b) you're the last ones left in his pub and c) he's decided to educate you about the ways of the world.

Sarah Starry, Pete B, Carsmile, Rob B (and a couple of people who I recognized but shamefully have forgotten their names) on Wardour Street at about 10.30pm on Saturday. They were off to a club and I was coming out of a Chinese Restaurant.
