In my nightmare. Hope it stays there. :-)

Had a dream I was at a BBQ with Whiney G Weingarten in a suburb somewhere. Our parents were there, relatives. It was like a family picnic almost? We were the cool younger kids. Turns out my mom(!?!?) wanted us to go pick up some weed for the party "from a nice old woman at the hospital downtown." So we drive down to the hospital (Whiney is a horrible driver) only to find that, "It's a common mistake, but you need to go to the Medical Center on the other side of town." So we drive over there and procure weed from a nice older woman. It was really cheap. She gave me change from my twenty then made fun of us for not being very "smooth" in the hand off. Then when we were driving back for some reason Whiney decided to take a shortcut through a boggy forest and the car got stuck in a ditch. We climbed out and walked back to the party. When we got back to the party, we smoked weed and ate cheeseburgers.

Sounds like real life.

My dreams are so vivid lately.
I also had a dream about the girl I have a crush on coming over to clean my basement?!?!

Last night I dreamt I was on ilx (jeez) and in my dream, sic was following me all over the boards making horrible insulting and mocking comments to me, and posting my posts to the o_0 threads and laughing at them and stuff.

Blargle... that was really crummy!

dreamt that lj was giving me a tour of his caribbean island homeland in a two-seat airplane. at some point he quoted a lynyrd skynyrd lyric, but i don't remember what the line was.

dreamt that i was being interviewed and someone said "what in your opinion was the single most influential event in ilx history" and i answered "the advent of the noize dudes"

I miss my flight to a long-haul destination beginning with B that I can't remember, then aimlessly hang around the small airport waiting for the next flight. The airport has some scrubby ground around it. Suddenly I see a large group pass by and I hear someone say 'Cutty'. I hesitate for a moment, then march up and introduce myself to Cutty. He has a blonde afro. I shake his hand and everything. Then I go back to get my flight but before I get on it I have to take my place in the line, which turns out to be a big revolving turntable that everyone stands on with their bags. It's hard to keep my balance and I wonder why I've forgotten how to do this since my last flight.

i was looking at the new answers for the "who really cares" board - no thread started by or last posted to by information or times. Just dates started and thread titles. The Most recently posted to thread was entitled, "You have a fine shovel."

I dreamed last night that I met Hoos and Jordy Lasarge in the Old City portion of Knoxville and we did a Beastie Boys pose with our hands in the middle and took a photo. They were very similarly dressed. Also, the visit was a surprise, and Hoos let me know he was in town by sending me cellpwn pics of stuff around Knoxville (one of them was of a detail of my cildhood home, which is in Maryville, though).

Hey, I had a dream about HOOS, too. I ran into him somewhere, and he told me that he'd seen the first episode of the new season of LOST, and that it was kind of disappointing. He started to tell me why, but I was like, I don't want spoilers. Then a tall, beautiful African American girl he was friends with came up to say hi to him, and I knew I'd met her before but couldn't remember her name, so I said, "Hey, I'm sorry, I forget your name." She said, "It's Erin." I said, "I'm John." HOOS said, "Easy to remember, right?" I said, "Or not, since there are so many other Johns." She then said, "What about Mark? How many Marks are there?" "Do you mean how many are born now or how many were born when we were born?" "Both." "When we were born, it was like a top 10 name. Now it's barely in the top 100." Oh, and we were all underwater the entire time.

I dreamed I came across a self-published novel in a used bookstore, written by an uncle of mine, whose protagonist was "Jergincito, sworn enemy of 7:00am".

I had a dream about roxy & nijoli, that they bombed dozens of threads with all my personal information (ssn, phone, address, medical info, grades, etc) and pictures of my dog's corpse. It woke me up at 4 a.m. I felt weird.

I hope you guys don't get offended by this, it was just a dream.

I was at a Salt-N-Pepa concert in Philadelphia with my friend Dennis but it was actually like ten or twelve folding chairs in a circle, and I heard someone address someone else in the circle as "Giboyeaux" and it was gbx, and he looked and saw me and came over and shook my hand, and then I was listening to an album consisting of bits of dialogue from Female Trouble and Edith Massey was saying something about wishing someone's house was attacked by giant earthworms and that "all the animals would turn into... cats". And then gbx was eating a bowl of Lucky Charms.

I had a dream that "the table is the table" was at my house, and I said, "Oh hey, that's sweet because I just got this in the mail." "This" was a John Hughes movie called "The Table is the Table: The Musical," which Mr. Hughes had not allowed to be released during his lifetime. It had just been released on a deluxe DVD treatment. We smoked a bowl and watched it together. Between musical numbers, it was a lot of Mummenschanz/Pilobilus-type arty dance numbers, but during the singing parts, it was more traditional choreography. The only song I remember was sung by Molly Ringwald, and the chorus went: "the table is the table is OTM! is OTM! is OTM!"

Holy shit, the best dream ever!

Last night I had a nightmare that two guys with shotguns broke into my house, disguised as New Yorker subscription salesmen.

Last night I dreamt I went on a trip to the beach up in NSW to hang out at my grandparents beach house in the bush, and when I got there, to my suprise there was Roxy, Nijoli and Crutis who had dedided on a whim to go on a road trip (over the ocean!? yeah shut up it works ok) to come visit me. LOL.

We hung out and talked about how the same products mean different things in the US vs Australia, such as Jif.

A couple of weeks ago I had a dream where I had sex with some ILXor, but I've forgotten who it was. I just remember waking up and feeling ashamed for dreaming about doing it with an fellow ILXor.

Had a dream I saw a lap steel guitar going cheap in the window of a shop but when I went in to ask about it, the shop assistant said it had been sold to Rowan Atkinson who was giving it as a present to his son (does he have a son?) Then, bang on cue, Rowan Atkinson shows up ... I said to the assistant, "What's he buying that for, he could afford a brand new one with his money"

No, dreaming about having sex with ILXors just means that you have really good taste.

I swear to God, I had an ILX dream years after I'd dropped this place like a bad habit. And that is why I'm going to post this one last time here, swearsies. It's a long and involved dream and involves a lot of people I remember from coming around here, and is as follows:

I dreamed I was in this vintage-looking kitchen (with updated appliances and all) in this rambling Victorian house that looked like it was set in Louisiana -- everything looked like it was set in Louisiana. I was making a huge batch of pasta salad while Texas Sam was beside me making a gigantic pot of baked beans and listening to some old-sounding country band (they sounded like Hank Williams or Johnny Cash). Then I seem to remember that we're there because we're making food for a wedding reception and the wedding is between Julia and Kenan, who are going to be getting married in an informal garden ceremony. (They were both upstairs in separate bedrooms getting ready.)

I spot Mark C's Sarah going upstairs with Julia's dress, which looked very flowing and 1920s vintage, while I went outside with this gigantic pot of pasta salad, and outside nickalicious was manning the grill, putting on some big racks of pork babyback ribs and butterflying the chicken for barbecuing later. I wanted to chat with him briefly so I could let him know that my bf was there (I think he was off to one side smoking with some other random people) and how they both were into Fishbone (which is true) and were musicians and they'd probably get along really well, but he was talking with Tep and they were having a little discussion about the barbecue sauce nickalicious had made and Tep -- who for some reason I knew was the property owner -- was telling nickalicious about how he puts more cayenne pepper and less vinegar in his own homemade sauce and nickalicious was arguing about how this was how they did it back in Kentucky and it was his grandfather's recipe or something like that.

Anyway, so I let them be and moved further out into the garden, which stretched out about an acre or so and had a lot of grass and trees, and under a really old and shady tree there were a lot of plastic picnic chairs gathered in a circle with a whole lot of ILXors sitting around drinking beer and chatting, from Ned and Dan (Dan's wife was also there) to Ally and Sarah McLusky to Mark C and Matos, who was making them all laugh because apparently he was great at telling funny stories period (and not just about his stupid ex-stepfather), and many more people. I was also standing right next to this weird underground walk-in refrigerator dug into the garden and as I was opening the door (it opened upwards and revealed a set of stairs to climb down to where the fridge area was), I wished I could be with those people having fun chatting and laughing, but I felt like I'd be imposing myself on them by just pulling up a chair and sitting down, but when I looked up I saw Dan waving at me in a friendly manner as if to say that I was welcome to join in, and I waved back acknowledging that I'd seen him and was happy about getting to join them after I put away the pasta salad when I suddenly slipped and tumbled down the stairs. That's when everything went black and my dream ended.

on a friend's couch this weekend, dreamed i was driving thru the American South with J0rdan S. & deej. stopped at a record store. there were five or six loose tapes w/o boxes in a vinyl rack for $2 each. one was Kountry Kings self-titled, which i wanted for years. took it to the desk and they gave it back to me boxed with the original lengthy intricately detailed inlay card. (n.b. this group don't exist irl)

One wall there was top to bottom CD racks, lowest was labeled "free mixtapes". i took about 12 interesting looking ones (thinking "oh hey they have lil b here wtf") and the record store guys rang them up and said "$55 plz" I kept saying "no u don't understand these are mixtapes!" eventually i called across the store to another employee, "hey do u know what mixtapes are" and he said "sure" and gave an encyclopedic definition & history of the mixtape. this meant that i got them for free for some reason.
