Now I have Faith No More in my head. Thanks a lot.

three weeks pass...

I keep seeing these food vendors in parks and near restaurants. Today, I went to Farmer John's Little Skillet for lunch, and they had all these gumbo, jerk chicken, and other people out there selling food. They had white boards up with their Twitter addresses on them so you can find out if they'll be nearby. I like this trend and want to see more of it. It's also the first use I have found for Twitter. I worry a little about the quality/cleanliness of these operations, but from a distance everything seemed really good and it smelled delicious.

aren't they doing a bunch of construction on the N-Judah right now?

Lolled at "no public transit zone"

sarahel, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:09 (sixteen years ago)

that map is confusing me

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:11 (sixteen years ago)

it has practically no scientific validity whatsoever and is quite obviously skewed toward the perspective of a certain key demographic

iiiijjjj, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:16 (sixteen years ago)

parts of it are funny but larger parts of it don't make any sense, really

Jack Kirby's Orangutan Surfing Civilization (Shakey Mo Collier), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:19 (sixteen years ago)

is the blue part bernal heights? or excelsior? and is ruined roads potrero? help! I'm taking this very seriously.

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:22 (sixteen years ago)

BTW - what to do in SF tonight? Come see us, and the Conspiracy of Beards and Lotus Feet at the Elbo Room!

schwantz, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:23 (sixteen years ago)

yeah what about USF is a horror film

69, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:25 (sixteen years ago)

and am I really gonna get mugged in duboce triangle???

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:27 (sixteen years ago)

oh wait, I guess that area is to the east of van ness... tenderloin then?

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:28 (sixteen years ago)

or not... the placement of city hall is confusing me

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

yeah - it's kinda confusing - is "denim" supposed to be the Castro?

sarahel, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:29 (sixteen years ago)

"denim" seems to be the castro, but with corona point ("some rocks" ?) between it and, uh, European names. 20 yr olds is obv. the mission, meaning that ruined roads must be potrero and the big blue area must be the industrial zone south of there. guessing gang crossfire is sunnydale?

lou reed scott walker monks niagra (chinavision!), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:36 (sixteen years ago)

"Horror Film" is Western Addition/NOPAlol, no? "Going to get mugged" = Lower Haight/Fillmore? I think Fillmore is the street that splits Lower Haight.

Buck Utah (rockapads), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:36 (sixteen years ago)

yeah Ruined Roads, i think, is Dogpatch/Portrero

That's as big as it gets... I could make a bigger version if you care.

schwantz, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:40 (sixteen years ago)

no, it's cool. i'll press my face against my LCD!

Buck Utah (rockapads), Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:40 (sixteen years ago)

that sheds some light!

69, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:40 (sixteen years ago)

i just roffled to '22 year olds with animal tattoos' because it is so accurate re: the mission.

yeah, city hall is placed terribly....a lot of the west side stuff is right on tho, especially 'streets upon streets of silence.'

and btw, european names is definitely the Excelsior. i used to live at the corner of Naples & Avalon, right near Edinburgh, Lisbon, etc...

I live in "City College" (Mission Terrace), right nearby.

schwantz, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:46 (sixteen years ago)

xp - yeah, no doubt in my mind that European Names = Excelsior

sarahel, Wednesday, 18 November 2009 21:47 (sixteen years ago)

WTF is this about?

god I hate cops

Anyone else see the snowflakes falling in the financial district a few minutes ago?

wmlynch, Monday, 7 December 2009 22:36 (sixteen years ago)

heard it described as "light hail" - didn't see any myself. I'm on the 20th floor at Mission/Main

unobtaintium (Shakey Mo Collier), Monday, 7 December 2009 22:40 (sixteen years ago)

definitely saw some snowflakes. it was unmistakeable. i'm near 1st/market.

wmlynch, Monday, 7 December 2009 22:41 (sixteen years ago)

its 46 degrees in the shade in downtown right now so kinda hard to believe that it's snow.

~~dark energy~~ (Steve Shasta), Monday, 7 December 2009 22:52 (sixteen years ago)

was on the phone with a friend yesterday and she reported hail in Cow Hollow

nothing but light rain in the Mission

wmlynch, Monday, 7 December 2009 22:54 (sixteen years ago)

i'm in SOMA and i saw hail. there was no confusing it with snow, as it bounced.

richie aprile (rockapads), Monday, 7 December 2009 23:53 (sixteen years ago)

Was in North Beach/Financial district and felt a few flakes of snow/slushy rain. It did hail big blobs of hail earlier too.

Not the real Village People, Tuesday, 8 December 2009 02:19 (sixteen years ago)
