tbf, some of the whole world had better things for doing. i was watching 'get smart' and anne hathaway was v cute, for instance.

The family's been doing the morning show circuit, and Falcon is sick as hell. He threw up on camera on Today and then threw up off-screen on Good Morning America while his parents just sat there in silence. Diane Sawyer had to encourage the mother to go check on him or else she would've just continued sitting there with a dumb look on her face.

The puking on TV thing really happened. There's a clip on Youtube of the kid ralphing into a tupperware container on the today show while the wannabe Mosquito Coast dad runs out the clock on his 15 minutes.

“Scam scam scam: The parents set it up,” said a woman in a Facebook posting.

A commenter on coloradoan.com said that if the incident was staged, “at minimum they need to be billed for the emergency personnel and services expended in this fiasco that has made international news.”

Others expressed relief at the boy being safe; others applauded the county sheriffs and first responders who conducted the search; and many ridiculed the news media, especially local and cable TV, for the heavy coverage of the incident.

Readers of The Denver Post’s Web site weighed in by voting in an online poll in which 47 per cent said that they felt “suspicious” or “ripped off,” while 31 per cent felt “relieved” or “happy.” Readers of Entertainment Weekly’s Web site were even more skeptical. According to a poll on that Web site, 88 per cent of respondents said that they think the incident was a hoax.

On Friday morning, the family members appeared tired and emotional and on the “Today” show on NBC, Falcon vomited on camera.
