I still can't get over the fact that Blake Lively is Rusty from European Vacation's brother.

i still can't get over the fact the the entire show revolves around whether to show off serena's legs or her boobs in any given scene

I cannot stand Vanessa. Even though Dan often rides his high horse he's self-deprecating and funny enough to at least be charming. I know the show needs a conscience in order to not turn into total satire but even when I should root for her I can't.

Now Dorota on the other hand, she is highly underrated.

also, i would like to point out that blair's "if it looks like a duck, and walks like a duck" speech at the party was ripped off a famous old 90210 scene where brenda says the same thing to kelly after she finds out she'd been kickin it with dylan

and girl, i would never make the mistake to underrate Dorota. oh and i love how chuck is now the moral compass of the show

Weird. Vanessa's pretty much the only character I like in this show atm. I actually can't stand Blair. She's gorgeous and frequently entertaining I suppose, but she's essentially a sociopath.

i know but props to her as an actress, for making me hate her and think she's stupid

i have never actually watched a whole episode of this but you know what I fucking hate about it, Gossip Girl. She is such a total loser btw, in those voiceovers she is so delighted abt all this stuff that happens in these othr ppls lives who don't even know who she is. Get ur own fucking life gossip girl imo.

the 3some episode is good, and i generally think this show is kind of retarded

enjoying hillary duff on the show! her accent is funny and kind of cute

I thought the threesome was the least interesting thing about the ep...Jenny slowly becoming more and more evil, the latest Blair vs Serena drama and the return of Mr van der Woodsen (apparently he's with Doctors without Borders?) were all more compelling IMO

I've never seen GG and I never watched the OC, but I looked forward to watching the 'L.A. in the 80s' spin-off "Lily," (starring Brittany Snow and tom Cruise-impersonator Miles Fisher). Why on earth was this not picked up by the CW?

Because GG hardly does great in the ratings dept already so a spinoff ended up not making a lot of $en$e to CW

But then why commission a spin-off pilot to start? That's like beginning the human cloning process before remembering that the person being cloned has an IQ of 78.

Gossip Girl started off strong, and I imagine crafting that episode probably had a longer lead time than average. And at the very least it was a buzz-worthy GG ep (I didn't watch the show at that time but was hearing all about it).

and i think GG is strong at this time, in terms of quality -- it had a definite bullshit phase last season

Doesn't the exec producer of GG (the same guy who did the OC - Josh Schwartz - thanks, Wikipedia) always do this, where he'll have this buzz-worthy show that is much talked about and occasionally riveting but then it starts a steep decline way too soon? Wasn't that the problem with the OC? Didn't that shows' second season have a bullshitty phase, too?
