Hahaha, there was a hangup for a couple of seconds while the picture was loading (at about chin level) and I was thinking "shirt or no shirt... ?"

Rock Hardy (Rock Hardy), Friday, 30 September 2005 18:43 (twenty years ago)

it is so hard to find goth maternity clothes!

Gorgeous, teens.

You should totally keep that lovely '70s carpet, Teeny.

You should totally keep that lovely '70s carpet, Teeny.

And get rid of the rest of it...Is this the worst room ever?

-kitsch moorish doorway

- "room with a view" brick wall and window

- out of place "cinema style" curtains

- tasteful chandelier

Bob Six (bobbysix), Saturday, 1 October 2005 07:10 (twenty years ago)

maria's expression in that last photo is totally JBR!

J.D. (Justyn Dillingham), Saturday, 1 October 2005 07:14 (twenty years ago)

haha

FOR GOD'S SAKE TURN AROUND

gear (gear), Saturday, 1 October 2005 07:46 (twenty years ago)

Teeny, you look lovely! I know, maternity clothes are hard to find. I don't buy anything that fits closely to the body, I just don't like the feeling. It's not that I am ashamed of being pregnant, I just prefer loose fitting clothes. :-) Do you wear a *belly bra*? I'm going to buy'em, because they are good to avoid stretch marks. My skin is really fragile - I get scars quite easily.

Everyone looks so nice! Maria! Andrew! Alex! Everyone.

You should totally keep that lovely '70s carpet, Teeny.

What? No! It looks dreadful. Well, on its own it looks okay, but with the white walls it looks *blergh*.

JimD (JimD), Saturday, 1 October 2005 09:27 (twenty years ago)

i love teeny's apartment. she should furnish it with a "secretary" and lots of crystal bric-a-brac to match the chandelier. also, photos of the grandkids.

faith popcorn (Jody Beth Rosen), Saturday, 1 October 2005 09:32 (twenty years ago)

that's my new house! I own that moorish doorway! Everything else is going--the carpet, drapes, chandelier. An ancient lady lived there before, no surprise, but she kept it up beautifully. The carpet is way uglier in person even.

Nathalie, I've bought like two outfits worth of maternity clothes, and a few things in larger regular person sizes. I am just so cheap and it's hard to think of buying something I'll only wear for 2 more months! So far no belly bra (or stretch marks) but we'll see what happens, apparently my baby is starting to get a little big for his age.

teeny (teeny), Saturday, 1 October 2005 10:24 (twenty years ago)

KEEP THE CHANDELIER! Sparkly things are good. They make you feel like a princess & they stun small children which keeps them quite for a while.

salexander (salexander), Saturday, 1 October 2005 10:28 (twenty years ago)

Oh and if you don't keep it, sell it to me.

Bombed Out and Depleted / Kate (papa november), Saturday, 1 October 2005 10:40 (twenty years ago)

Little children are not tall enough to whack their head on that chandelier and get stunned. Unless you pick them up and swing them just right, of course.

There are few things on ILX that have made me smile more in the past several months than just about every post and photo from Teeny relating to her pregnancy.

Martin Skidmore (Martin Skidmore), Saturday, 1 October 2005 10:58 (twenty years ago)

Stunned by the bright shiny crystals, duh.

salexander (salexander), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:09 (twenty years ago)

What is odd about the Teeny pic is that she's not that tall IRL, so that doorway can't be more than, what, six feet tall? Six and a half? It's such a tiny doorway! But I think it's an awesome-looking room and should be preserved as is.

n/a (Nick A.), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:14 (twenty years ago)

That's an awesome room to have a photo of...but surely that's all you need.

Ned Raggett (Ned), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:17 (twenty years ago)

It is a rather funky-looking doorway. It's like one of those cute little brackets }

salexander (salexander), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:21 (twenty years ago)

But not such a great view of a brick wall.

salexander (salexander), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:21 (twenty years ago)

Ohmigod! I hope that Anna and the other Shimuras don't mind my posting this, but I think we *all* look so hott that I want to stick it up here. (and I never think I look good, but I'm wearing my uber-preppy tweed outfit.)

Paranoid Spice (kate), Saturday, 1 October 2005 11:50 (twenty years ago)

that room looks perfect, as-is, teeny

you look nice, too!!

RJG (RJG), Saturday, 1 October 2005 12:18 (twenty years ago)

teeny im loving the circa 70's feel of that room. dont change it but add some really hot furniture and then charge fashion designers to rent it out when they need a cool space to photograph their clothes in.

maria tessa sciarrino (theoreticalgirl), Saturday, 1 October 2005 13:25 (twenty years ago)

and you look super cute too but definitely not goth in that picture!

Hey teeny, great photo. Now you do look preggers. In last months photo you didn't look "in a family way" at all. Love the room. It has that '70s chic thing going on. Adding a secretary as someone suggested up thread would be good; aw hell, why not go for broke and get the butler and maid too!

Once again you're all looking smashing! Can't wait for the rest of ILX crowd to post.

Wiggy (Wiggy), Saturday, 1 October 2005 18:15 (twenty years ago)

love that purple top, i reckon you look pretty hot, squeeze by me anytime you want :)

http://creamandsugar.net/chromeodrums.jpg

nervous (cochere), Friday, 28 October 2005 02:01 (twenty years ago)

why are you nervous? drumming must be a very serious business. i like the way the lights behind you look like a sunset.

gem (trisk), Friday, 28 October 2005 02:06 (twenty years ago)

i'm actually pretty sure that was during the happiest most upbeat song of the set too so i don't know but i very much like the lighting too

nervous (cochere), Friday, 28 October 2005 02:15 (twenty years ago)

i like the way it's on an angle as well. sort of looks as if you and the drums are sliding off the stage but you are blithely playing on regardless

gem (trisk), Friday, 28 October 2005 02:17 (twenty years ago)

haha i wish
that would have been rather amusing
a bit like the band playing on the titanic (apocryphal?)
ps i'm wearing headphones because the laptop bits sounded terrible in the monitors

Awwwww! G-kit = ROWR!!!

Such soulful puppy-dog (sorry, kitty-cat) eyes. Plus, I like the floppy hair/ginger beard combination.

Atheist of Love (kate), Friday, 28 October 2005 09:25 (twenty years ago)

you've officially gone shitbat-mental. i've had like 4 hours sleep. how can those dry, bloodshot, barely-filled sockets be soulful?

g-kit (g-kit), Friday, 28 October 2005 09:32 (twenty years ago)

Because they are big and blue and make you look like an anime character. Especially with the floppy anime hair.

Atheist of Love (kate), Friday, 28 October 2005 09:33 (twenty years ago)

that's right out of the book of exactly the right things to say to g-kit! hoorah! aw, i feel better already.

the pinefox, Friday, 28 October 2005 15:09 (twenty years ago)

How do you get round language issues in a European quiz?

It's all down to Going for Gold! Surely European quiz buffs have all been brought up to understand Henry Kelly's Oirish accent so no other language difficulty can compare to that.

ailsa (ailsa), Friday, 28 October 2005 16:24 (twenty years ago)

hstencil (hstencil), Friday, 28 October 2005 16:25 (twenty years ago)

I remember a spoof European quiz on KYTV, part of which went something like this:
Presenter: Pierre from France, how do you spell your country's name?
Pierre: F R A N C uh
Presenter: Oh bad luck - there is no such letter as 'uh'. Maria from Italy, same question?
Maria: I T A L I A
Presenter: Oh you were doing so well until the end. Bad luck. Hans from Germany?
Hans: D E U T S C H L A N D
Presenter: hahahahaha, not even close.
