This record is so good. I know, it looks like Hawaiian exotica but it's actually mellow lounge/soft rock. One of the most simple and compelling listens I've found in while.

When I was 21, I used to have a Bill Dixon/ Archie Shep split cd that I played every night for months. I left it at a guy's house and never saw it again but I loved that cd. Is that Bill Dixon good? Sure looks good.

oh man that bill dixon is SO GOOD. advanced and somewhat free big band music, but not at all like sun ra or charles mingus. dixon is a guy im just starting to get my head around, so im not sure i can quite do it justice in description, but i highly recommend it!
