they compiled 78's, but that wasnt all they did! and i think there's a diff bw reissues and 78 compilations? like, i wouldnt call YAZOO a reissue label either...

I have the cd of early Scitti, but I'm kinds a sucker for original pressings. It's like I don't really feel I own the music unless I have the original copy. It'll probably be my downfall.

xxp it's really really good -- lots of great singing and fiddle/gtr kind of sound. i dont know very much about regional mexican music, but this series promises to be a good intro. several of the songs were later used on an explorer series MEXICO record.
