http://ny-image2.etsy.com/il_fullxfull.71993842.jpgThis album is mostly instrumentals, sorta bossa-slack key-folkie whatever. Definitely good stuff, BUT there are a couple vocal tracks which (kinda) justify the three-digit price tag it sometimes gets. Need to rip "Tomorrow is Forever" and post it ASAP for you mellow dudes.

(i got it cheap don't worry.)
Grateful Dead 21-8-72 China Cat Sunflower. Listened to the sets in reversed order with other live sets by other bands in between, but this has had some really great takes on songs on. This & He's gone are both very tasty.

i need another turntable for the store. the one i was using is shot. so i haven't been playing records. just compact discs. but i have a lot of wonderful compact discs. and 400000000000 old metal promos. and i don't really want to bring my turntable to the store. where are all the used turntables when i need them? might have to put out a facebook alert.

mmm never seen that Kay Gardner LP before Mr. 69! I kinda collect her stuff.
This afternoon and evening I will be giving extended listening time to the new Vinyl On Demand box sets, 4 LPs of old Psychic TV and 5 LPs plus 1 10" of German NDW/punk/wave bands from 79-84 that I have never even heard of before. 11 bands! Fun!

currently listening to a youtube wimin's playlist. so many records i see around all the time, but too scared to take a leap of faith on. i know a lot of scott's 'women who don't get hipster kisses' thread touches on this stuff. it's pretty cool. kinda joni, kinda julie tippetts.
― jaxon, Tuesday, 22 March 2011 23:30 (fifteen years ago)
yeah at rasputin?

Mooncircles is the rec that got me into her, there is a very nice 9 minute epic with vocal loop, cello, bells, etc. Meg Christian plays guitar on the track you Youtubed above as well as the 9 minute epic. Man I will never forget listening to one of my mom's Meg Christian records in the early 80's, intense stuff.
