this album kinda rules. danish jazzprog. god, the guitars...yum. so fierce. this country was toast by the early 70's, its a good thing that the europeans picked up the ball. not that there wasn't great music being made here, but the euro-fire was so bright. so much energy and skill. i blame the american public school system. kinda like how by 1984 american hardcore punk became plodding or else it just became metal. then you listen to some finnish punk from 1984 and HOLY SHIT they were fucking blazing thru the northern sky! they weren't wearing fuckin' budweiser shorts that's for sure. it was like they had invented that shit. death metal made things right here again. as it often does.

broke down and bought that 'black friday' reissue. yeah, it was 50 bucks. but holy crap, it sounds *amazing*. like, truly truly AMAZING. you can hear every nuance of that lush SPector production so beautifully. worth every penny. I'd had a beat up copy for years, but to get a pristine, sealed copy, on 180 gram, with the creepy George poster, is a wonderful thing.

I was kinda wary too because of the whole 'crappy new pressings' things we've discussed on various threads. but they really did this one right. No surface noise, no clicks, pops whatsoever. it is a pristine pressing.

i'm now tempted to actually go back to the store and get one of those mono 1st Doors LP things. the store has 2 left. for 25 bucks
