nah. totally different. SEN is from 63. SN is from 76. earlier is jazzy samba. real poppy. latter is funk/soul. darker. i prefer the latter.

tabua de esmeralda is his best imo (that or africa brasil). only have it on cd, but it's so so beautiful. samba nova is similar in sound to that one.

Hey Scott, after one listen I'd say about half of Birtha's LP sounds like excellent funky distaff hard rock, sometimes verging on early metal; the other half like less excellent (but mostly passable) Big Brother/Janis blooze woman wailing. So yeah, I like it. But if I see another one cheap anywhere, I promise to pick it up for you. (Had no idea it was that rare, but then again can't say I've ever seen a copy before, either.)
