i do feel you about this, but i just love how organically WEIRD some of her stuff (melodies and arrangements etc etc) is. she's definitely too mannered and clever and whatever sometimes, but i just get this feeling of a true weird beautiful artistic viewpoint from her!

69 is that the new one on Get Back or the old one on Locust? Such a bummer that Get Back put it in a $75 box, pretty useless "reissue" but I guess it's cheaper than the Locust version on eBay (?). The way that band treats their own back catalog is just perverse.

i just had to explain to my boss that, although i have a gamelan record sitting on my desk on top of the stack, this on the turntable was instead a band of lunatics from AZ.

i finally sold my original crossdressers. i never really listened to it, to be honest. sorry, TBH.

didn't know that record was $$, that's actually the only SCG I own. I think I found it at Kim's even! def. not original, I guess it's the Locust version. for like $25 or $30. I listen to it a bunch but I never make it through to the end.

the locust version is the original vinyl version. the 2 cd set on abduction came first. then the vinyl later.

i'm listening to the most unbelievable vietnamese version of day tripper right now. jaw-dropping. but not on vinyl. i actually downloaded it.

shout-out to my friend jeremy who made two awesome vietnamese download mixes of 60's and 70's stuff that he got from vietnames websites. its what prompted me to search out that version of day tripper.
