Rock Sampler* from 1981. on Limp Records! tommy keene (tommy keene's "strange alliance" is so FUCKING great. i like his later major label stuff okay, but that early stuff was so good. that whole first album is awesome.), slickee boys, velvet monkeys, the dark, nightman, the nurses, black market baby.

seriously, its not a power pop thing or an 80's thing its just a good album thing when it comes to the tommy keene album. if anyone sees it for a good price pick it up. just really enjoyable music. goes good with pot too. or so i've heard.

it's good. i like all the mason profitt i've heard! i think i've picked up 4 of the 5 LPs for $3 or less apiece. "Two Hangmen" is on the one called "Wanted!" which is their first album, and it's a great record.

Ducks Deluxe - Don't Mind Rockin' Tonite (RCA Victor 1978)

As jangly, clever, mildly pubby, kind of twee, definitely low-key 1983 guitar pop-rock albums go, definitely liking the Mental As Anything more than that Aztec Camera (who I wish did more songs as catchy as "Oblivious.")

I've always kind of liked that Ray Manzarek Carmina Burana LP, Scott.
