white sleeve is MAYYORS from sacramento. not disco at all. i should listen to more disco, but it doesnt fit my work-time listening habits. also, the white "disco sleeve" intimidates me, like i cant glean any info at all from the art?

also, i had a similar car-breakdown experience heading up to NYC for valentine's day 2004. wire's "from the nursery" was on, and my automatic transmission was laboring and wouldnt shift, so the noise of the engine was modulating up like the end of the song. i always think of it when i hear that song, but it's kind of a fond memory!

so anyway i bought that riley reissue from my friend david's friend who lives in nashville and is in a group called the cherry blossoms. when he comes to the store he always picks up some of my interesting 70's stuff. it's nice. most people don't care about it at all. or buy it. he even bought a copy of joe e. covington's fat fandago to give to david as a gift. my kind of people!
