I took my father-in-law with me to the record store. He loves music (and is a drummer) and still has a bunch of old records from back in the day, but he hadn't had a turntable in years. A bunch of us went in on a Rega P1 for him this past christmas and he'd gotten a kick out of playing his old records. But this was the first time he'd been in a new/used vinyl store in a long time and he was like a kid in a candy store. "Hey Bob, check this out -- I used to have this! $3, can you believe it?!! I gotta get this..."

scott, you should give a seminar to the lame-ass record stores around these parts that seem to be about nothing but selling beat-up old simon & garfunkel LPs for $8.

jaxon, Tuesday, 27 July 2010 19:00 (fifteen years ago)
