i think i mentioned the keith and julie tippett album "couple in spirit" a while back. downloaded it and have been listening the shit outta it lately. so great. very similar to robert wyatt's 'end of an ear'.

My uncle, Johnny Tipton, died a few weeks ago and we are cleaning out his apartment. I got all his records, many of which have songs he either wrote or played on.

Yes. It has been a pretty exciting day for me going through this box of records and discovering more about a man I barely knew. I also found music contracts where he played with Don Gibson and sold songs to various artists. It has been bittersweet, for sure.
