man this album is great. a.k.a. Steve Miller backed up by Frumious Bandersnatch. I dunno why I avoided it for so long. first side is live and kinda "okay", but the second side is studio and nicely stoned. "Harbour Lights" great example of 70s psych. "Why must I always be a loser / Why can't I ever be a winner?"

It's amazing how long Capitol stayed with Steve Miller. 7 albums before a big hit with "The Joker". 7 albums! they must have really liked the guy.

yes. when a packages declared value exceeds eur 22, they get curious. customs cant open mail so you have to go and do it for them (and show receipts and whatnot).

i think 2010 is the PERFECT time for an all out ILX-wide doobie brothers reclamation project. such a great band in all their eras.

yeah, and their records all SOUND so amazing, thanks to Ted Templeman. I think that S/T Doobie Brothers record has to be the first thing he produced after leaving Harper's Bizarre, and he was already a master of the studio. that record is definitely the most folkie they got, they needed Tiran Porter to join before they really started rocking. He is such a joy to listen to play the bass

they do sound friggin' amazing. templeman was a genius. i like it all. does jaxon have this 12 inch?
