LOVING this album -- from 1977. I don't think I've heard another disco LP with a sound so deep into Southern soul blues, yet so uncompromsing about its disco. Plus, it's totally hilarious, and not just because of "Ain't Gonna Bump No More (With No Big Fat Woman)" (Joe tries but she keeps knocking him down by accident so he tells her to go get herself a big fat man) and "Be Cool (Willie's Dancing With A Sissy)" (who apparently Willie thought was a woman, but Joe tells him just ease away politely -- seems Willie's about to pull his razor out at first):

i love jade warrior. if you want the rocky stuff you need the first three vertigo albums. after that they set adrift on memory bliss a la the album jaxon was playing. those mid to late 70's albums are pretty cheap though. i would take a chance. i like them a bunch. proto-new age and lots of interesting pothead majik going on. i can't sell them AT ALL here, but what are you gonna do.

MASS is kind of a mess, i'm taking it off. i don't know what lenny was thinking.

I never picked up any Jade Warrior LPs after 'Last Autumn's Dream'. I've always been kinda scared. Dunno why ... I am sure I would probably like them

i've decided i'm gonna buy them all. never been disappointed. even w/shitty covers like those ones. and i'm gonna buy all john martyn albums.

especially since last night wifee threw something down from our loft and it landed on my JM 'sapphire' album and broke it. i got real mad at her and made her feel really bad and then smirked and said "it was only a dollar"
