earlier I listened to one of two copies of Zep's 'Houses' that I one. Trying to determine which is the better copy so that I can sell the worse. Not gonna re-listen to it again tonite, tho, I will save the "b" comparison tomorrow. As much as I adore Zep, just can't do it twice in a row. But god damn does "Rain Song" always sound amazing.

re: Rock & Roll Over ... I was in the record store the other day and they were playing the Ace Frehley solo album. Only I didn't recognize it when they first dropped the needle and "Rip It Out" came on. I was like, what the fuck is this??, this is amazing!! thought it was like some lost power-pop classic, like a harder Raspberries album or something ... it was only when "Snowblind" came on that I had the head-slapping moment of recognition. I mean, I own the album, but probably haven't listened to it 10 years. god it's great

So Scott, I eventually wound up liking that A'Me Lorain & the Family Affair LP enough to keep (again) -- sort of squeaky-voice link between Cyndi Lauper and TLC, or between late '80s R&B and Radio Disney pop... plus, I agree, it definitely has a cool cover and name, which helps.
