was listening to that al kooper/shuggie otis album. that's a pretty good record. never played it before. now i'm playing jesse colin young's light shine album. he does a *California Suite* on this album for all you west coast 70's ilm thread trainspotters.

man, i tried to listen to that side-long cat stevens foreigner suite yesterday. i just couldn't do it. and it even has some nice pretty purdie beats on it. i can't take that much cat yowling. what a yowler. i never thought about it, but his name was truly apt. whenever he gets hot and bothered it's like a bad imitation of judas from jesus christ superstar. ouch.

how come i never get into robert fripp solo albums? i love king crimson. i like his production and sideman work. i love brian eno albums. kinda feel the same way about john cale solo albums. i APPRECIATE them and all that, but i never get into them or wanna hear them much.

other artists i've determined i never really need to hear: be bop deluxe, ry cooder.

I like Fripp's Exposure as much as almost any Crimson album! But that's just me.

i like fripp's production/sideman work better than king crimson or his solo work. im similarly (to you) interested in BBD. be bop deluxe. i know how i feel about bel biv devoe. now ya know.

wow everyone needs this super connie cato album. it's super! don't know what song i like better, "superskirt" or "super kitten". plus, most of the album is produced by my hero audie ashworth. which probably explains the cover of "after midnight".

that album i was just playing - honkey blues - is rilly good. i dunno, i kinda like all the 60's stuff. and the doug sahm 70's stuff is rilly good too. Mendocino is their "classic" 60's album.
