suburban lawns LP is hott shit girl-sung postpunk on IRS. the above EP is good but maybe like half as good as the LP. at $1, it's like 1% as expensive as the LP though... maybe worth it

it's worth it for flavor crystals. my fave suburban lawns song.

On the table last night, a record I found in my stacks which I totally forgot I own: Milking The Masters, Vol. 7 by Blue Movie. 1987, produced by Klaus Fluoride of DK's. Violent Femmes-y (at times) trio with a stand-up drummer. I was fascinated with stand-up drummers at one point in the 80s, which may be why I bought it. Or maybe I got it as a promo, dunno?

That led to punkrock ukulele player Carmaig DeForest's I Shall Released. Same year, same label (Good Foot); produced by Alex Chilton, and I was reading that Chilton story linked in another thread.

Finished the night with a bootleg of Violent Femmes final show ever, but that was on CD.
