Hope nobody minds me starting a new thread... I can't load the other one, it kills my WiFi every time I click on it!

In return, here's a nice pic of Archie...

Lovely Archie!

A trip to see their nana up on Merseyside - the highlight of which is always the ice-cream rest-stop 50 miles from the end in rural Cheshire. In the last pic, Ava wanders through my childhood park. They've landscaped the tennis courts, y'know.

I love how different your kids are! Mine are so similar. I was looking at pics at my parents' place in Tokyo. I was sure I had it right... until I noticed that "Ophelia" had a pacifier and Elisabeth didn't. I got it wrong. hah!

Nathalie (stevienixed), Wednesday, 29 July 2009 07:36 (fifteen years ago) link

We're finding it harder to tell them apart vocally - esp when they call downstairs at night. Takes us a second or two to be really sure who is being the nuisance. (Last night it was "Daddy! Daddy! My covers!" Lulu's duvet was bunched up at the foot of her bed and it was obviously too much effort for her to drag it back up over herself. But who doesn't like being tucked in, eh?)

makes me a little nostalgic with our youngest already being 16 months. it's such a short time ago that i could literally tuck him into the crook of one arm. he's still a baby, other people still call him a baby when they see him, but he's not a baby baby.

David Moore, sometimes of this parish (if not this, er, neighbourhood - though he's knows more about parenting than most), gave me his old Olympus film SLR last weekend - so I of course took it out the next day with the girls...

Perhaps we should celebrate and capture the extraordinary phenomenon of these kids just getting bigger all the time with some collages. Picasa (which is free) makes this pretty easy. I don't think I could manage it tonight - too much work to do - but it might be fun to see a snap per month (or every other month) for some of the ILP near-toddlers/toddlers/pre-schoolers. For the moody adolescents...one a year?

Hillary had Everest in his veins (sunny successor), Wednesday, 26 August 2009 02:30 (fifteen years ago) link

having a kid that eats is a huge relief, considering that his older brother who will be 5 in a week still only eats about 6 things. (we're trying to figure out how he's going to survive at school. for the moment we're planning on packing a thermos of macaroni and cheese for him, since that is what he has for lunch every day.) but rex, the younger one, is much wider ranging. you can put almost anything in front of him and he'll take at least a bite. and a lot of things he'll just chow right through. (especially fresh fruits and veggies. very gratifying.)
