I can't seem to get my kids into the muppets no matter how hard I try.

tbh she got upset five minutes later, when Fozzie's being booed off the stage

Haven't tried the Muppets yet but F adores the Furchester Hotel (Sesame Street and BBC co-production).

Ivy was pretty into an episode of Pee Wee's Playhouse we watched with her but I don't think Jeff and I can handle it. I put on Avatar the Last Airbender when we're hanging out sometimes but she just ignores it until the closing theme comes on. Then she does a little baby dance.

We binge-watched Avatar last winter and Abby would always dance to the closing theme!

Pam is looking for a high-end compact / compact system camera, and the Fuji X models are definitely contenders. I have one friend who never touches his Canon 7D now he has an X100S.

Ava's favourite film ever is The Book Of Life.
Lulu's is Ghostbusters.
I think Lukas Moodysson's We Are The Best! is top 3 for both of them (they repeat the song(s), not the swearing, thankfully).
They are at the age now where they both claim to hate Frozen.

i saw frozen for the first time over xmas. am prepared to revise my opinion at a later date and following further rescreenings but it seemed VERY GOOD.

My coworker's little girl loves Frozen stuff (toys, clothes, etc) but told her mother she doesn't feel like watching the movie.

We're at that stage too. We own the movie and watched it constantly for about a week and spent much of the summer listening to the soundtrack. But right now Abby is just into having her hair braided over her shoulder like Elsa and eating ice.

my gf works retail and often wears her blonde locks in a braid and occasionally hears children ask their parents "is the Elsa?"

She doesn't read very much yet, but lately one of her favorite things to do is to page through grown-up books and pretend to read them out loud. This is a book about medieval warfare that her brother got for christmas.

Dan, I didn't think it would be possible for the boys to get any cuter and yet here we are.

Every time they do something annoying and I start to get irritated, one of them will smile or giggle and it's basically game over.

I do wish they'd stop trying to pull off my face, though.

I can't remember whether Ivy was having a case of the almost-toddler irrationally angries or almost-toddler irrationally exciteds, but I was hanging out with her on the couch the other day while she exuberantly (or furiously - it's hard to tell the difference sometimes) swatted at my face and when Jeff came into the room he was like, "Uh, your face is bleeding" because Ivy had managed to take chunks of skin out of my lip and my chin. I hadn't even noticed under the flurry of baby blows. So I guess my point is that IME they will soon stop trying to pull your face off and start succeeding.

marin has tried to pull my bottom lip off a billion times. also she keeps stealing my glasses like i was woody allen in take the money and run.

It's constant. If she's angry, she'll grab them off my face and throw them. If she's excited, she'll grab them off my face and grin at me impishly. If I think we're going to be doing a lot of face to face interaction, I just take them off now. Maybe that's why I don't see all the facial injuries coming.

J has already pulled a chunk out of my lip once with his cute little talons. I try to do a better job of trimming fingernails now so that I don't lose an eye.

Abby used to like to go up my nose with her little poorly manicured toddler fingers. That always hurt.

The glasses-chucking seemed to stop at around 18 months, which was lucky, as I was able buy a new non-mangled pair which has so far survived 6 months without being bent/smashed/scratched/de-lensed

Somehow Ava is 10.
