ILP rolling photo quarantine

wow i dropped off the parenting threads a while back and now there's a whole board. and an adorably boggling ilx brood to go with it. reproductive R us.

anyway, these days i'm sort of half a home-dad -- i have them every day from about 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., when the nanny comes and i go to work.

i just saw g00blar this morning at the u.s. embassy w/his whole family! dude i hope they didn't give you too hard of a time.

I think it's gonna be ok! Not too long after you guys left, we got called up, and the actually nice lady assured me that if I could get my high school transcripts faxed over, I could bring 'em in (without having to bring the baby in again) and get the passport without having to make another appointment.

So I've called my high school, who can't, apparently, send a fax overseas. But my mom's neighbor is going to pick up the transcripts and scan+email them to me. Maybe by the time I get them my stomach will have returned to normal functioning.

This is Jules with Ophelia. He's a doll that is used in school. He "teaches" the kids things from washing properly to... going to the doctor. Every weekend or so he gets to join one child and have a sleepover. Sheer hell for the parents cause the whole box with toys, books and CDs have to return the next monday. And "Ophelia"gets to write in the diary and add some pics. :-)

Cuteness! Aidan has conjunctivitis at the minute so is not particularly photogenic, but I took these off the camera last night. He is so cute with his cousin! He tries to give her his toys to play with, it's so sweet

Yeah yeah it's no big secret but the time isn't right now. If it were I'd have one in a heartbeat. I mean, look at how awesome they all are!

gotta say the picture of those two on the chair is major size lolz. every time i see really little kids i just think to myself 'you have got to be kidding me'

how is it possible that i am an adult when getting at some point in my life getting into a chair was a serious and vexing problem

I know, it's pretty wild when you think about it. A couple years ago my Dad hauled out some super 8 footage of me from when I was stumbling around in diapers and it was so nuts watching that little drunken sailor looking person and realizing that was me. Mind was blown. I can't even imagine what that's like when it's your own kids you're watching do the growing.

I think the cousin is actually a baby doll.

It may be the wrong place to say this, but I wouldn't worry about things like "timing" when it comes to makin' babies (if you want 'em.)

If someone had told sunny and me, Yeah you're going to get this kid, but three months later he's going to get six months of chemothereapy and then a year's worth of two mortgages, we might have postponed.

And that would've been regretful, to say the very, very least.

I know PP. That said, we're both out of work and well yeah - not just yet. I'll keep that in mind though because I've heard similar sentiments from others.
