Say you have an online photo site for baby pictures, consisting of various galleries, how would you divide them up? Time intervals? Seasons?

Yes, yearly here. It's nice to be able to pull up a photo of the girls at a particular age via the appropriate Flickr set on the phone. It's actually easier via the app than on the website, I think.

They find old videos of themselves incredibly funny. This one (from Ava's 5th birthday) went down particularly well over the weekend (made temporarily public)...

I've settled on breaking the first year up into three month intervals; 0 to 3, 3 to 6, etc. I'll start yearly galleries after the 1st year. Maybe I'll combine the 1st year at some point. I don't know why I think about this so much.

Currently using smugmug, with a custom domain. That seems to work well for the family. I password protect it and they don't have to sign up for accounts to view any thing. They can buy prints. I can hotlink to different sizes of photos is forums. It's nice and has been worth the cost.

I've always wanted to do something private and password-protected, rather than just throwing everything up on facebook. :/

The only person more opposed to Facebook than I am is my mother (she's a privacy officer at a hospital) so we knew from the jump Facebook was not going to happen.

I think she's been outside about a dozen times in her life. Finally warm. Warmish.

The quality of the photos we've been taking have been so poor because most of them have been inside. Poor lighting. Can't wait to take more outside.
