yeah she seemed pretty happy for the first half of it then decided she wanted to get down. the rest of the time we were at the zoo she had to keep making sure we weren't going to make her get back on the carousel.

Lulu does the same expression in many of these pictures - exactly the same mouth five years ago and today.

It's ladybug season in our neighborhood. We are checking out a ladybug that she caught and put on her arm, accidentally killing it in the process. She is becoming concerned with its lack of movement and I am trying to convince her that the ladybug is just hiding in her shell because she is a little shy.

Don't worry folks, there have been many more ladybugs and she has gotten much better at catching them without causing fatal injuries.

I know what you mean. I get quite the pang when I look at old photos. That little person has gone, never to return. And Lulu was a laff riot at 2. But it does (mostly) get better and better.
