Aw bless, so tiny. You just can't believe they were ever that small. The other day Lulu dressed her plush bunny Bob in a top...that she wore herself in hospital on day 2. She thought we were joking when we told her. "No, it's play clothes for toys!"

today is photo day at evie's day care so maybe we'll have some nonblurry noniphone photos of her eventually

I can't explain it, but every time we get a professional photo taken of the kids, it looks nothing like them.

I mean, it looks good. And yes, the kids look good IRL. They just don't match up.

a week ago, we thought sylvie was taking a nice long nap, but it turned out she was quietly cleaning her room. pretty convinced she's not actually my kid now.

pretty much. someone we know asked: "does sylvie want some of these playmobil toys" and we said OK and it was actually like four boxes of the things.

One of my favourite things in the world is coming home to immense massed armies of Playmobil characters, all engaged in some arcane activity which must be explained to me at great length.

haha! she hasn't really started coming up with elaborate stories. mainly she just says -- "these are boys and girls and they are friends."

She shares that room with her sister, of course.

This is an old picture - from when Lulu graduated from cot to bed in 2009 - but the bedroom is much the same now. We've since extended the right-hand bed for Ava.

Dalton has two playskool dudes: worker guy (he has a hard hat) and bathtub guy (he's some sort egyptian pharaoh thing and it looks like he has a towel around his waist, I guess) and they are definitely best friends (they have a Ferrari they drive around in).

...but that wardrobe, sans doors, is now in the rear-left corner of the room. We've since managed to squeeze another storage unit inside that wardrobe (we had to do some planing!), replacing those white buckets.
