yeah she's better than me at identifying cars. not sure how it happened exactly, but we bought a new car earlier this year and she really started paying attention.

Don't want to pull the thread too far down, but our family suffered a loss this weekend.

Veruca was like a big sister to our two kids. And, she was mine and Kate's first joint effort. (The cats were grandfathered in with the marriage.)

OK so because I'm being all TRUE CONFESSIONS today here's another one, PP (and SS!). When you posted about Veruca on FB I read what you wrote out loud to RS and about 1/3 of the way through doing so I my voice started cracking and I totally choked up. I'm really sorry to hear about your sweet pup. <3

How are the kids doing? Do they really understand? I imagine that would be really hard to explain.

We were the ones who took it the hardest. When we later asked Beeps what she thought about it all, her response was "I didn't know grown-ups could cry."

Hammer's a little too young to really register anything with death, but he did crawl underneath the back deck from one side to the other yesterday.

"I didn't know grown-ups could cry."
