fun open cup match tonight, OCSC winning 2-1.

Philly rested a lot of starters. we played more than I felt comfortable with for longer than I felt comfortable with, with Saturday road match coming up, but...victory still well-earned.

It's interesting how 'playing the kids' sometimes works out. Philly have a lot of good homegrown players, so even though their attack was fairly toothless with 7 new starters in the lineup, they were playing fairly well. Orlando, on the other hand, played five reserves, but were floundering to threaten much in the first half because of one single dude (Michael Halliday) who couldn't control a ball to save his life at RB. killed about five attacking sequences on his own, almost made up for Bedoya not playing for Philly.

Fire are in last place iirc

Lol of course that's how it worked out. Well glad he has worked out for you. Prior to last year he'd been one of our best as well so he has a decent ceiling when he's inspired

I am downgrading my season Tix cos the premium seats I get I can't afford any more. Not for how rubbish we are at home

Also though easier to see play unfold from higher up in stands.

Prices got jacked up for next year here too, I could understand if they were consistently winning but that is not the case

Austin were -1500 Vegas favorites coming into this leg. Valotte AC have a rich history but the league they belong to hasn't completed a full season since 2018. and they had to play their 'home' leg of the match in another country (Dominican Republic). and facing one of the higher ranked teams in MLS who had a strong offensive output last year, and come out and win the first leg over them 3-0. what a great story/performance.

i am watching the angel city v gotham game rn and i am so so happy that angel city has been such a hit. west coast has the best soccer culture in the country (4 of the top 5 in nwsl attendance last year were west coast teams).
