Charlie Austin in tears an unexpected bonus.

Tim, Friday, 17 July 2020 18:33 (five years ago)

our safety now depends on defeating either a team that won 8-0 last time out or the hopefully already-confirmed champions

;_;

imago, Friday, 17 July 2020 18:34 (five years ago)

hopefully the leeds squad secure the league on saturday and then just booze for 3 days

I used to work with this wanker that always had a local commercial radio station on Pennine Radio or Yorkshire fm or whatever the fuck it was called. It used to run this awful ad for a local law firm that carried the slogan : Yorkshire lawyers for Yorkshire people!

calzino, Friday, 17 July 2020 19:19 (five years ago)

lol "Dirty Leeds" is trending on Twitter

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Friday, 17 July 2020 19:33 (five years ago)

Yorkshire law for Yorkshire crime

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Friday, 17 July 2020 19:34 (five years ago)

I don't even feel that bitter about Leeds going up tbh. i've got nothing but jealous admiration for their manager.

fuck's sake Brentford don't choke

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 18 July 2020 12:23 (five years ago)

This is so disappointing. I haven’t seen them play this badly all season.

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Saturday, 18 July 2020 12:56 (five years ago)

just got the radio on, maybe i should change channels to buck the jinx

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 18 July 2020 12:58 (five years ago)

93rd minute equaliser for Charlton!

Scampo di tutti i Scampi (ShariVari), Saturday, 18 July 2020 13:29 (five years ago)

fuck's sake Brentford don't choke

It's Brentford, they were bound to choke.

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Saturday, 18 July 2020 13:33 (five years ago)

that's the kind of result that could still be in your head thru the playoffs

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 18 July 2020 13:38 (five years ago)

I'm just thinking next season will be the first time Town have been in the same division as Coventry since the Frank Worthington days.

calzino, Saturday, 18 July 2020 14:27 (five years ago)

It's amusing hearing Robins talking about how the Championship is the place to be, he must have changed his mind after walking after an opening day defeat with Town!

calzino, Saturday, 18 July 2020 14:45 (five years ago)

Yes lads get in now do your jobs EFL and hammer Wednesday

imago, Saturday, 18 July 2020 15:35 (five years ago)

well, yes and maybe like before the season is over lads. I mean ffs haven't they heard of Zoom?

calzino, Saturday, 18 July 2020 16:49 (five years ago)

yay! this is better news than staying up.

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 13:46 (five years ago)

not taking any interviews so perhaps this decision was made when they already had a replacement lined up. I'd stopped caring almost since the Cowley's came to Town.

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 13:50 (five years ago)

Carlos Corberán is the rumoured replacement, never heard of the fucker, but not being English nor Essex would be a massive plus for me. I think the quiet crowdless stadiums highlighted what a thoroughly horrible pair of thuggish morons the Cowley's are. I'd have been embarrassed by their behaviour if I owned the club as well.

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:00 (five years ago)

lol also rumours that Bristol City are interested in them.

That would be great if we don't have to pay up the contracts of these wankers. Jesus wept, to think we paid one million compensation to Lincoln for these turkeys.

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:06 (five years ago)

Bristol City were after Gerrard and got knocked back, so I think they're lowering their sights.

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:11 (five years ago)

or raising them!

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:13 (five years ago)

thanks, i had option paralysis with the punchlines there

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:15 (five years ago)

True if Rangers' performances immediately post-lockdown are taken into account. They are still in Europe though!

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:16 (five years ago)

altho if you like punchlines, this one from the BBC site takes some beating:

Steven Gerrard: Rangers boss warns young players over 'ego'

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:17 (five years ago)

The man they call Stevie Me? Surely not!

The Fields o' Fat Henry (Tom D.), Sunday, 19 July 2020 14:18 (five years ago)

the picture that is emerging now is that the Cowleys are effectively on garden leave and not sacked and the chairman found out they'd been talking to Bristol City. I find it unbelievable these grim bastards have still got a pretty good rep at this level. They did manage to arrest the decline, but along with that came their horrible management style which brought a different decline which eventually was losing games and doing it ugly.

calzino, Sunday, 19 July 2020 15:14 (five years ago)

Corberán has left the building and a compensation package has been agreed between the two clubs according to Bielsa at his latest press conference. Another Wagner type appointment where it is a bit of a gamble, but fuck it at least it isn't Adkins or Pearson!

calzino, Tuesday, 21 July 2020 15:35 (five years ago)

Adkins is alright imo but this is more interesting

À la recherche du scamps perdu (Noodle Vague), Tuesday, 21 July 2020 15:40 (five years ago)

he was the U 23 coach and Bielsa's translator and he promoted him to first team duties and rates him very highly apparently and at least he'll know a thing or two about the championship despite not having management experience.

calzino, Tuesday, 21 July 2020 15:47 (five years ago)

daer leeds

sick of brum avoiding a completely deserved relegation in the last game, it still haunts me we fucked up the chance of relegating them couple of seasons back. I'm still bitter about 2001
