I'd need to see the stats of how much difference it's made - my suspicion is that lots of players at, say, steps 4 and 5 would just build resentment, and go back on the pitch and snap the player in half.

I just want to see the chaos of having your keeper run on in an outfield player shirt and then arsing around until the next break in play when they will have to swap shirts with the hapless disposable lump of centre half who's been covering for them.
