no point being right at the wrong time buck
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Tuesday, 7 May 2019 22:08 (seven years ago)
we'd prob have won the league if he was still there.
― FernandoHierro, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 22:11 (seven years ago)
i don't mean cos he'd have been some dominant influence but he'd be worth a couple more points in some of those seven draws.
― FernandoHierro, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 22:12 (seven years ago)
but in that timeline Divock Origi would still be trapped in the soul stone
― Number None, Tuesday, 7 May 2019 22:15 (seven years ago)
lol

This fuckin tweet:
When Sunderland let a 3-0 lead slip at Derby in 1990-91 it was seen as a massive humiliation; my dad called for the reintroduction of the birch. Now Europe's elite do it pretty much every week. Game's gone.— Jonathan Wilson (@jonawils) May 7, 2019

I was out last night and missed the whole thing but wow at that Trent corner. Amazing that it was your least glamorous or prominent players who were largely responsible for all that, although Alisson looked phenomenal last night.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 08:05 (seven years ago)
Henderson was huge in the first half
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 08:06 (seven years ago)
I guess the two most glamorous players were injured. I thought Fabinho was phenomenal, though it's hard to take away from any of them really, it was a brilliant team performance. Henderson is so much better in an advanced position as he was in 2013/2014, his best spell for Liverpool prior to the last month or so.
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 08:10 (seven years ago)
It still feels faintly miraculous that Henderson is still getting in your team regularly let alone having that kind of impact on matches. I suppose he slipped out of your first team earlier in the season but has played his way back into it and had looked great recently.
I suppose his energy and disruptive ability and willingness to play wherever he's asked to make him ideal for Klopp and compensate for his shortcomings, maybe he needs a more technical player like Fabinho alongside him though.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 12:43 (seven years ago)
he looks way worse in the 6 role - he was brilliant playing high up the pitch in 2013/2014, he's obviously got a huge engine and so the press is perfect for him, he's also good in the tackle and a decent crosser of the ball. i think he can support the front 3 rather than being too connected to the midfield, but he does get around and do defensive work. obv the big problem was expecting to have him as a guy taking responsibility for the tempo of the game in possession - fabinho is that guy 100 per cent, but also has a better positional sense and more discipline about protecting the back four.

*also his gait
― Number None, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 13:31 (seven years ago)
fergie found henderson's gait too odd the same summer he signed phil jones
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 13:33 (seven years ago)
straight out of the gait
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 15:14 (seven years ago)
wearily dusting myself down and, in need of new angles of enjoyment, listening to late 90s alt rock & early nu metal to lean into the mood
― ogmor, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 18:20 (seven years ago)
Honestly I'm still in a stage of mild disbelief and total joy that this is happening at all.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:06 (seven years ago)
Starting as they mean to go on.
― ShariVari, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:07 (seven years ago)
Hmmmm.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:07 (seven years ago)

― Uptown VONC (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:08 (seven years ago)
The response to the goal has been positive though.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:13 (seven years ago)
Gonna end up 4-4 at this rate
― oscar bravo, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:13 (seven years ago)
Was anyone meant to be at full back?
― ShariVari, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:38 (seven years ago)

― Br. Des Shadows (NickB), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:38 (seven years ago)
Embarrassing from Trippier.
Someone on the Ajax bench definitely had a word and told them to play everything down the left because Trippier is shite.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:39 (seven years ago)
Poch should take trippier off right there and then
― or something, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:41 (seven years ago)

― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:56 (seven years ago)
Ajax played pretty bad for about 30 minutes, but Spurs had no idea.
― Ludo, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 19:59 (seven years ago)
Ajax have been properly good for about half an hour in total across both ties but they could have cut that back to ten minutes and still have gone through.
― ShariVari, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:11 (seven years ago)
trying to think did i ever see a team talk less to each other
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:13 (seven years ago)
eriksen corner lol i wonder the outcome first man perchance
Ajax were asking for that. Needlessly negative so far this half.
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:17 (seven years ago)
Did that whole move come from a Son tackle in our own area?
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:18 (seven years ago)
jesus christ id say you are wearing a bib watching this shit fh
can u imagine liverpool of last night turn up against either of these

― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:20 (seven years ago)
At times I thought Ajax look dangerous, don't want to invite the knocker gods.
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:20 (seven years ago)
glad i never slagged Lucas
Here we go.
Amazing save at first.
― ShariVari, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:20 (seven years ago)

― Uptown VONC (Le Bateau Ivre), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:21 (seven years ago)
Tactically insane from Ajax.
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:22 (seven years ago)
eriksen still doing his best to fuck it up tbh
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:23 (seven years ago)
trippier still on the pitch
― deemsthelarker (darraghmac), Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:24 (seven years ago)
Turns out that playing football is Ajax's best approach.
― Matt DC, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:25 (seven years ago)
lol, exactly, instantly looked dangerous again, tho Spurs have got inside their heads a bit now
― FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 8 May 2019 20:28 (seven years ago)
