Well, this will be character building at least.

To be fair to the lad that Messi through ball was magnificent.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:14 (seven years ago)

Number None, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:30 (seven years ago)

what a hit

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:31 (seven years ago)

That was absolutely insane.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:32 (seven years ago)

Given Wanyama usually takes about five games to get going it was a bit ambitious to try and fling him straight into this.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:33 (seven years ago)

for some irritating reason my actually-pay-for-it streaming service doesn't have the lfc/napoli game, but i gather keita got injured? anyone watching?

gbx, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:33 (seven years ago)

timely reminder that spurs are shit at passing

ogmor, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:38 (seven years ago)

It was an odd one. Keita was just walking around in midfield and then falls to the ground and starts clutching his leg and then had to be stretchered off. Looks like he will miss the City game.

Fairly cagey 1st half in general

. (Michael B), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:40 (seven years ago)

hmmmm hope it's nothing serious

in other news: this spurs kit is very bad! the fade seems cool up close but at a distance they all look like they're playing with weight lifting belts on

gbx, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:42 (seven years ago)

embarrassing how these children think kicking better players shows character

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 19:43 (seven years ago)

ogmor, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:22 (seven years ago)

Have the Barca fans started singing, "Are you Celtic in disguise?" yet?

Zach Same (Tom D.), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:23 (seven years ago)

Inter winning away at PSV too.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:24 (seven years ago)

Good timing!

Zach Same (Tom D.), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:24 (seven years ago)

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:30 (seven years ago)

Busquets and Lamela could get tasty these last few minutes.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:30 (seven years ago)

it's a lark, yeah

Number None, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:32 (seven years ago)

clocked an Aurier-esque trio of foul throws from Barca, the last one the only to get a reaction

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:33 (seven years ago)

thats a red card all day

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:33 (seven years ago)

English commentary

"pique has actually kicked kane on the knee there really"

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:34 (seven years ago)

someone tell these cunts that being dirty for effect is good and being stupid obvious filth is worthless

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:36 (seven years ago)

Cracking from Winks though.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:39 (seven years ago)

still wackford after all these squeers (DJ Mencap), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:40 (seven years ago)

Fuck me. Thought that was in

groovypanda, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:44 (seven years ago)

That mass doping session around the 70min mark is really paying off.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:46 (seven years ago)

red was kane on pique

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:47 (seven years ago)

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:50 (seven years ago)

every time poch puts on that cunt sissoko he should be charged

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:50 (seven years ago)

absurd that we are two gift goals away from a draw here given how shockingly bad we have been

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:51 (seven years ago)

messi shouldve scored 4 tonight and still not have done anything worthy of notice spare me the hagiographies

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:56 (seven years ago)

Infuriating commentary from BT Sport though, admonishing us for not coming out and attacking Barcelona from the start.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 3 October 2018 20:57 (seven years ago)

Bad performance from Liverpool, zero shots on target. Napoli well organised and Liverpool reduced to hitting long balls to Salah who still looks off the pace. I'd fancy our chances against Napoli in Anfield though, they don't look too hot up front.

. (Michael B), Wednesday, 3 October 2018 21:01 (seven years ago)

while it was going on I just felt sick but looking back now it was a pretty excellent game. set up high and played aggressively against barcelona and made for a really attacking, open game. winks-wanyama midfield leaves a lot to be desired and son has been low key useless for ages, but spurs did manage to play themselves back into the game a few times and barcelona were clever and sharp under pressure. the double dummy for the last goal is just ridiculous when you watch it back.

ogmor, Thursday, 4 October 2018 08:33 (seven years ago)

Yeah Deems frothing at the mouth aside I don't think we were that bad, and we responded really well and didn't let our heads go down. Barcelona's front three is just ridiculous.

In midfield where we were just completely inequipped but we would never have set up for that if we'd had the personnel (blame the lack of signings there). Sanchez/Toby/Hugo were rabbits in the headlights mostly but I think with a proper midfield we'd have given them a better game.

Son is just knackered I think, he's been playing football almost constantly for a year without a break. Lamela looks really sharp right now and deserves a run in the team.

Matt DC, Thursday, 4 October 2018 08:52 (seven years ago)

agreed with most of that where not a vicious personal attack like

god help me would aurier have been better than trippier

Dmac TT (darraghmac), Thursday, 4 October 2018 09:02 (seven years ago)

Man Utd really carrying the flag for the Premiership in the Champions League this year, everyone else so disappointing.

Zach Same (Tom D.), Thursday, 4 October 2018 09:14 (seven years ago)

Couldn't watch last night. Seems we've lost to an 'Italy side's gonna Italy', fair enough I'spose (tho their keeper should've been sent off in the first half). We've no business in the CL but looking forward to hoping for a miracle against Spurs and be let down.
