Baaderonixx, what's the reaction there to PSG failing like they did? I mean, what kind of team are they trying to be? Their attack is so frontloaded and yet they seem to retreat to some angsty defending and collapse under pressure. Same as last year against Barca.

Par for the course really. Common opinion is that while they have a great team (don’t underestimate the lesser known players), they just aren’t a great club (poorly run, lack of clear authority, rival factions between the Brazilians and the others). Then, for various “political” reasons, they spent all their budget on offensive players last summer on offensive players, while everyone knew that the greatest needs were in the middle and at the back.
Now tbh if the ref has made a couple of different calls last night, the perception today could have been very different so I wouldn’t overestimate all these issues

The Chels played good tonight, I don't think the away goal is going to be much concern as Barc will most certainly score at home anyway so Chelsea are going to need to go there with a goal thirst either way.

The beeb live blog had a photo of a scarf like this last night, Teh Chels vs Barcelona.

Yeah I saw something similar - I was musing on whether the scarf was
(a) reflecting and responding to an actual Chelsea-fan useage, or
(b) a scarf-making fool being out-of-touch with fans but close enough that they can sell these things at or near the ground, or
(c) a result of the scarf-makers having been threatened by Chelsea lawyers / RBKC trading standards; "The Chels", not being trademarked or copyrighted or whatever so it's the closest thing to "Chelsea" they can get away with?

Needn't be an either/ or I suppose.

(I've no idea whether they have been threatened by trading standards or trademark lawyers, obv, or whether "The Chels" is a registered trademark.)
