o_O

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 09:05 (eight years ago)

The Sevilla coach has cancer and broke the news to his players at half time yesterday.

Moreno must have heard about it

Well bissogled trotters (Michael B), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 09:43 (eight years ago)

Ooooof

fake pato is kind of racist, dude (darraghmac), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 09:47 (eight years ago)

that trick will only work once

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 10:23 (eight years ago)

Confirmed since that players knew days before.

Chunky Backgammon (onimo), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 12:58 (eight years ago)

He just reminded them of it at half time.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 13:23 (eight years ago)

ffs lads this is far from the biggest match of your life

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 14:06 (eight years ago)

You just know Moyes read this too and has pondered using this during the next match at least twice since brekky

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 14:10 (eight years ago)

The fake cancer diagnosis is a highly overused Eastenders plotline and in this case would probably result in West Ham being forced to play in League 2 and the London Stadium in flames.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 14:28 (eight years ago)

So yeah that job at Palace in 2018-19 is probaby in the bag for him.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 14:28 (eight years ago)

Chelsea have six probabies on their books each of them is top scorer in the respective European second tier league they are currently loaned out to

fake pato is kind of racist, dude (darraghmac), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 15:54 (eight years ago)

Akinfeev just kept a clean sheet for the first time in 44 CL matches. Benfica have been awful this season.

Wag1 Shree Rajneesh (ShariVari), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 18:55 (eight years ago)

blow the whistle ref

-_- (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 19:55 (eight years ago)

Please. We're just getting annihilated now, annihilated, this could end up double figures, no exaggeration. PSG are just strolling about laughing at us.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 20:27 (eight years ago)

Boyata should be detained at Glasgow Airport and deported.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 21:04 (eight years ago)

Shitshow at the back tonight. It was always going to be a doing but be basically gifted them every goal.

Chunky Backgammon (onimo), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 21:13 (eight years ago)

This is horrible. I was genuinely quite grateful for a bothersome real life intervention which made me miss PSG's fifth and sixth goals.

ailsa, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 21:29 (eight years ago)

Hey we scored a goal though, no-one else has managed to do that against PSG, and yet the sacred 7-1 scoreline seems tarnished somewhat.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 22:00 (eight years ago)

Aye, but even Anderlecht managed a goal tonight for the first time, against Bayern Munich. This group's just mad. We're totally going out of the Europa League spot on goal difference to a resurgent Anderlecht.

ailsa, Wednesday, 22 November 2017 23:43 (eight years ago)

On the cards, although Anderlecht were abysmal against us.

The buttermilk of Beelzebub (Tom D.), Wednesday, 22 November 2017 23:47 (eight years ago)

apparently the basel manager told his players he had the flu

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Thursday, 23 November 2017 00:14 (eight years ago)

Jose told the united players they had cancer

fake pato is kind of racist, dude (darraghmac), Thursday, 23 November 2017 00:24 (eight years ago)

jose told his players that he is a cancer but they already knew a few days before

Roberto Spiralli, Thursday, 23 November 2017 00:58 (eight years ago)

Pougatch, Campbell and Hoddle such a weird fucking trio

i know kore-eda (or something), Thursday, 23 November 2017 23:48 (eight years ago)

luke shaw and daley blind both in the united side for tonight’s game. still no mkhi though

faust apes (NickB), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 18:54 (eight years ago)

XP idk could still do a job for Gareth if they get a run of games between now and summer imo

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 18:59 (eight years ago)

Some really lovely stuff from utd here

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 20:07 (eight years ago)

Chalov looks v good also imo

moyesery loves kompany (darraghmac), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 20:11 (eight years ago)

only just put it on so i dont know if youre taking the piss or not re utd! was reading somewhere last week that luke was getting the best training stats out of the whole team for overall fitness and he definitely looks pretty sharp out there. obviously it's early days, but are we really that desperate now for a new lb?

faust apes (NickB), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 20:18 (eight years ago)

oh luke got diddled on that one :(

faust apes (NickB), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 20:33 (eight years ago)

I just can't see it with Shaw at this point

Was impressive tonight, but I don't believe Mourinho trusts him

Number None, Tuesday, 5 December 2017 21:39 (eight years ago)

Atletico Madrid out, and PSG lose for the second match in a row.

Le Bateau Ivre, Tuesday, 5 December 2017 21:43 (eight years ago)

I just can't see it with Shaw at this point

i guess the pecking order for that position atm is something like:

ashley
darmian
marcos
blind
rooney
luke

celtic romped into the europa league

-_- (jim in vancouver), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 22:02 (eight years ago)

as usual some absolutely awful draws await a few of the group winners. bayern, juve, real madrid etc.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Tuesday, 5 December 2017 22:09 (eight years ago)

All this draw talk is silly anyway, but it's daft that clubs from the same country can't draw each other once we enter the knock-out stages.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 09:37 (eight years ago)

this year in particular it means that the options are v limited for english teams

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 09:47 (eight years ago)

Last years there frequently were four Spanish sides w/ the last 16. I can get behind trying to avoid a Moscow-Kiev match for obvious reasons, but in a tournament for best club in the world, why still not allow same country draws when you're down to 16? Makes no sense.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 09:57 (eight years ago)

Where they should have been all along.

As someone who watched approx. 253 Chelsea v Liverpool matches in the 00s I'm entirely pro-gerrymandering in this regard.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 10:07 (eight years ago)

I empathize, but it still doesn't make sense. The whole CL doesn't make sense though. It's unsustainable anyway. Aren't the four biggest countries promised yet another spot in the near future? 6 sides for England, Germany, Spain, France/Italy. G'luck with that draw m8.

Le Bateau Ivre, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 10:11 (eight years ago)

it was only the two group ones that were shit, like really shit. the 05/07/09 semi-finals were all p epic.

Bein' Sean Bean (LocalGarda), Wednesday, 6 December 2017 10:14 (eight years ago)

need to have a straight knockout with the top 528 teams in europe

nxd, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 10:17 (eight years ago)

Otm.

Yeah I know but even then, it's just not as much of an event when it's a team you play two or three times a season anyway.

Matt DC, Wednesday, 6 December 2017 10:19 (eight years ago)

i actually really enjoyed some of the all-english ties over the years. something about a midweek knockout game at night in a higher stakes tournament - the drama just felt much higher.
