I know it's much lower league but on Tuesday I think we had the worst refereeing performance I've ever seen. It's not an exaggeration to say he got every single call he was asked to make the wrong way round; highlights were giving a throw to Mangotsfield, then to us, then to them again and then awarding Mangotsfield the free kick for a foul then booking their player for making it.

Last season's best was flagging a player offside for passing to himself while dribbling with the ball, I think this outdoes it.

Above is the first illustration and each programme thereafter will have a similar theme as Wolves progress through the season, facing 23 separate opponents along the way.

My understanding is that there is only one of these letters and that the matter has been resolved amicably and without any "contract".

BEST LEAGUE IN THE WORLD

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 August 2016 15:16 (nine years ago)

fucking weak ref gave a pen for ball to hand just while we were in the ascendant and had them under constant pressure

calzino, Saturday, 13 August 2016 15:28 (nine years ago)

Fucking get in Payne!! Phil Brown said he should have spent another season of L1 development. Nah man, the kid is ready.

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 August 2016 15:54 (nine years ago)

My bro and stepdad were there today and I'm completely jealous. lol with your predictions Ollie, he was tipping Newcastle Utd yesterday as a bet of the weekend.

calzino, Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:03 (nine years ago)

Possibly Rafa had benched Ritchie today because he expected an easy win. He is in for a bit of a shock in this division if he carries on in that fashion.

calzino, Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:24 (nine years ago)

he'll not be there much longer at this rate

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:25 (nine years ago)

and finally they're up and running! a 3 goal win and a clean sheet at Villa Park! only Rotherham I know but i'm not used to this shit. didn't see the news yesterday so James Chester was a lovely surprise; might actually have a proper defence for the first time in 3 years. congrats to NV and calzino too. been a good day.

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:27 (nine years ago)

i rate Chester pretty high, we could certainly do with one or two like him

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:31 (nine years ago)

We play both Villa and Wolves in the next 3. The last time we played Villa is probably in the Pathe archives.

calzino, Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:41 (nine years ago)

too early for these promotion 6 pointers dammit

Tom Watson in a fedora (Noodle Vague), Saturday, 13 August 2016 16:42 (nine years ago)

Express and Star just used "Zenga bus", glad i got out ahead

at the risk of blowing my fun new gimmick, i should say that ime Villa fans are not feeling particularly entitled or superior this season and plenty of people are feeling pretty pessimistic about our chances of promotion. we're not Newcastle

Windsor Davies, Saturday, 13 August 2016 17:46 (nine years ago)

Tbf the US Soccer fans on their way to shoot Mexicans at a Trump rally sound just like most Brit pundits

Now hearing suggestions of Newcastle interest in Fernando Forestieri. Ready to pay £12m apparently. #swfc

Rob Staton ‏@robstaton 5h
Fernando Forestieri NOT in the #SWFC squad vs Norwich. He hasn't travelled.

Rob Staton ‏@robstaton 5h
It's my understanding #SWFC have done everything that could be expected of them regarding this Forestieri situation. He didn't travel.

Dom Howson ‏@domhowson 1m1 minute ago
Carvalhal said he and Glenn Loovens persuaded Forestieri to play against Aston Villa. "He changed his mind," said CC. #SWFC #starlive
